I'm not looking for an argument mate, but I think the "stumbled" remark is below the belt, and as I've said before please stop trying to take offence when we disagree.

 

Rafa has had how many hundred games in charge? How many times have we played this formation?

Quite. Not to mention that he tried to use it in his first season here, tried again when he bought Crouch, has used it at times throughout his tenure here, and has been looking for the players to make it work. He reverts to a formation the players are more comfortable with when he has to, but it's what he's working towards and it has worked well in Europe at times and brilliantly in the home game against Arsenal last season, to mention just one. He also used it with two holding players and Morientes in the hole a lot, but Morientes was not mobile enough to make it work. To say he's "stumbled" upon it just sounds like a dig to me, but if you think I over-reacted Brownie then please accept my apology as nothing personal was intended.

I know what he did at Valencia. Albelda and Baraja as the two central players, Rufete and Vicente out wide, Mista up front with Aimar just behind. Same system.

 

He hasn't stumbled upon the system so semantically I was wrong, but how fucking pedantic is the world becoming?

 

I don't personally think that he planned to use it forty odd games into his fourth season whereas obviously you always knew that?

 

Fuck me, you try to be positive and you still get slated.

we have been very sloppy all over the field today im glad we weren't playing someone good

 

I thought at times we were excellent today, and well worthy of the win. We tired at the end, and looked dodgy from set plays, but the first half an hour of the second half was our best league performance in some time.
