After last week’s aberration, normal service is resumed this week as I can talk about those City losers dropping more points. Even before they turned to shit they would often have problems against Palace so this wasn’t exactly a shock result, especially given City’s recent form, but it’s still great seeing them suffer. Palace are a bogey side for them though, no question. They’re right there alongside Spurs and - to a lesser extent - Wolves as unfancied teams that have a decent track record of causing City problems, and so it proved once again. Munoz put Palace in front early when he ran in behind and finished well. City wanted offside but the “gre…

I’ll be keeping this one short as I’m struggling with the lurgy and I don’t actually there’s much to say anyway. It wasn’t great but it was enough and that’s all I’m expecting in games like this. I was fine with it, so I was a little surprised to hear Slot going off on the performance afterwards. We’ve played much worse than this and he’s been relaxed about it. So why was he so pissed off after this? I think it’s about standards and that he’s seen them slipping a little since the City game and he senses a defeat coming if we don’t get back at it. I think this was an over-reaction from him but it wasn’t out of emotion, it was about deliberately sending out a me…

Six wins from six, a place in the automatic qualifying places secured, but Arne Slot was far from happy with the performance despite the 1-0 scoreline. TLW Editor Dave Usher is joined by Dan Thomas to chat about this game as well as to look ahead to the weekend visit of Fulham to Anfield and to discuss the news this week that David Coote has been sacked. Thought I'd start a thread on this as a few of you have asked about it. Basically, anyone who has an active subscription should not be seeing any ads at all on the site (other than in house ones for t-shirts etc). Subscribers are ad free, so if you are seeing them it's because of the theme you have selected. Go to the bottom of the page and select TLW Subscribers theme. When that's selected you shouldn't be getting any ads showing. If your sub runs out you'll start seeing them and they won't automatically go when you renew, you'll need to scroll down and re-select the TLW Subscribers theme again. Any problems, either post in here or sen…

TNT Sports couldn’t pick us for this one as they were supposed to be covering the derby last week, meaning that we are in that rare Saturday 3:00pm slot and not on TV. The thing is, Saturday at 3:00pm is still the ideal slot for a match. It’s not ridiculously early and doesn’t finish ridiculously late so you still have Saturday night to plan for, and hopefully all of Sunday to enjoy. A bit like with the British government going back forever it seems, the PL’s chase for the foreign gravy train means they have to bow to the whims of foreign TV markets. If Asia wants a PL match on during their peak Saturday night slot, it means a lunchtime game over here. Money takes precede…

It’s that time of year again. All the international shite is out of the way and we’re looking towards the new season. Let this thread be used to talk about other team’s failures as Arne Slot leads us to the league title.

Hello to The Liverpool Way family, 9 years ago today, I made my glorious introduction to this forum, and nothing was the same again. This message is to say that on December the 7th 2025, An exact decade on from my glorious debut, I will make a permanent exit from The Liverpool Way. This is not something I take lightly. It will upset and sadden some people, but it must be done. The reasons are multiple and I have not taken this decision lightly. You might think the haters and losers on here, of which there are many, may have won. That they have made me mad. That is indeed a small variable, but it is not the principle reason. The princip…

Has anyone seen the bitterness in the bluemoon forums? I stumbled across it yesterday. What the fk is wrong with them? As far as I'm concerned they aren't even our rivals. Look at this thread: https://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/liverpool-2018-19.335013/page-283 Embarrassing.

Couldn't find a recent one but thought this article was interesting http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/mar/13/steven-gerrard-liverpool Last October, 500 journalists attended the Institute of Directors on London's Pall Mall to witness history in the making: the launch of Sir Alex Ferguson's second autobiography. The crowd, the imperial setting, and the sense of anticipation spoke of Ferguson's incomparable status in English football. Now retired, no longer constrained by the responsibilities of power, the legendary former manager of Manchester United could speak freely. What would he say? It turned out Ferguson hadn't spoken as freely as everyone ha…

Rumours have it that this is a done deal. Article from the Mirror detailing his playing style: With the arrival of the January transfer window, Brendan Rodgers will be looking to build on the strong start to the season with a signing or two at Liverpool. And one name he is continually linked with is Basel youngster Mohamed Salah. But is he any good? Would he fit into to Rodgers' system at Liverpool? Here’s Ross Dunbar with everything you need to know about the 21-year-old: Salah has been on the radar of some English and German clubs for well over a year. In fact, the option was on the table for the Egypt international to leave Switzerland over the summe…

This game is a chance for us to confirm our place in the knockout stages and avoid having to go through the play-off route. A win would also maintain our 100% record and keep us top. Bear in mind it's in the earlier kick-off time. Girona are newcomers to the Champions League after finishing a surprise 3rd in La Liga last season. Lack of European football and an early exit from the Copa Del Rey meant that they and their coach Michel could concentrate on the league, and they did it by finishing on 81 points, 5 points ahead of 4th placed Atletico. They’ve found it much tougher going this time round as their squad has to cope with the European schedule. In La Liga…

Early game again on TNT, which is probably not ideal after travelling to Newcastle in midweek, but necessary as the game after this is an early kick-off in Girona on Tuesday. This is likely to be the last derby game at Goodison, so we have to expect that they will be up for it. They might well be up or it anyway as it’s a derby, but they’ll have seen how sluggish we were and may decide it’s time for another blood and thunder (read: dogs of war) effort. So far this season they’ve been exactly what they been for years now, circling the drain, pulling off the odd result and staying up because three other teams have been worse. After their points deduction for PSR…

As well as the format changing, the tv coverage appears to be different going forward, with BBC having highlights on the Wednesdays at 10pm on i-player and 10.40pm on BBC1. The first choice of live games on Tuesdays will be on Amazon Prime with TNT having everything else.

So, given the Podcast has decided there are decent Arsenal fans and, well, Gooners, I thought we’d have a dedicated thread to the latter in memory of our fallen visitor, Abs. They seem to have grown exponentially in the last few seasons and are now a social media menace. I mean, where do you go with this fuckwittery.

Might as well start a thread, because it won't be long until we get loads of jarg "leaks". https://www.thisisanfield.com/2024/09/liverpools-looming-adidas-deal-has-fans-excited-over-the-possibilities-always-top-tier/
