The Reds' perfect start to the season came to abrupt and sobering halt as Nuno Espirito Santo did a number on Arne Slot at Anfield. The visitors executed their gameplan to perfection as Liverpool spluttered, stuttered and eventually completely stalled. Chris Smith is joined by Julian Richards and TLW Editor Dave Usher to pick through the bones of a dismal afternoon at Anfield. View full article

I’ll start with Arsenal, seeing how all week my twitter for you tab has been absolutely infested with whining Gooners going massively overboard about what was essentially a correct decision. I’ve seen it described by various Arsenal fans as “the worst decision in Premier League history” while countless others have spent their entire week looking for videos of non-Arsenal players escaping yellow cards for kicking the ball away. What fucking whiny bastards they are. Worst fanbase on social media. If they’re not posting their shitty little video compilations showing how their ‘Starboy’ is better than Salah, or how Saliba is better than Van Dijk, they’…

Thought I'd start a thread on this as a few of you have asked about it. Basically, anyone who has an active subscription should not be seeing any ads at all on the site (other than in house ones for t-shirts etc). Subscribers are ad free, so if you are seeing them it's because of the theme you have selected. Go to the bottom of the page and select TLW Subscribers theme. When that's selected you shouldn't be getting any ads showing. If your sub runs out you'll start seeing them and they won't automatically go when you renew, you'll need to scroll down and re-select the TLW Subscribers theme again. Any problems, either post in here or sen…

The start of a pretty hectic schedule as the league calendar resumes and both the League Cup and Champions League get under way for us. This one is in that rare Saturday 3:00pm slot. I know little about how Forest are getting on this season. They have Nuno Holy Spirit in the dugout and have again been busy in the transfer market. Not sure who they've signed other than Ward-Prowse on loan from West Ham, and Elliot Anderson in one of those PSR-scamming deals for a ridiculous fee that is amortised over the player's contract while the selling club (Newcastle) books the full fee as profit. Chelsea, Villa, Newcastle, Leicester and Forest were all at it this summer. …

Has anyone seen the bitterness in the bluemoon forums? I stumbled across it yesterday. What the fk is wrong with them? As far as I'm concerned they aren't even our rivals. Look at this thread: https://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/liverpool-2018-19.335013/page-283 Embarrassing.

I'd like something decided by end of 2011 to be honest so we can get on with building/refurbishing the bloody thing transfer window out of the window, now let's make a final decision on the stadium before the next transfer window i think they are probably still negotiating a naming rights deal with someone and we will most likely announce we are moving to a new 65,000 stadium but i don't want it to drag on and on and on so i ask you ...when are we likely to get definitive stadium news?

It’s that time of year again. All the international shite is out of the way and we’re looking towards the new season. Let this thread be used to talk about other team’s failures as Arne Slot leads us to the league title.

Rumours have it that this is a done deal. Article from the Mirror detailing his playing style: With the arrival of the January transfer window, Brendan Rodgers will be looking to build on the strong start to the season with a signing or two at Liverpool. And one name he is continually linked with is Basel youngster Mohamed Salah. But is he any good? Would he fit into to Rodgers' system at Liverpool? Here’s Ross Dunbar with everything you need to know about the 21-year-old: Salah has been on the radar of some English and German clubs for well over a year. In fact, the option was on the table for the Egypt international to leave Switzerland over the summe…

So, what do we reckon? I’ll give it two years maximum. He’ll get the first couple of transfer windows free because they’ll want to look like they’re invested in the ‘project’ but the majority of them will still want instant results. Thankfully these days instant results for them would be sneaking into the top 4. What a time to be alive.

I’m calling it now, he’ll be around for a season at most before a series of loans back to Italy, ending with him leaving on a free.

This season TLW is once again looking to keep an eye on the younger members of the squad who are continuing their football education on loan. Last season we brought you the insight from Blackburn Rovers fans as Tyler Morton spent the campaign at Ewood Park. While it started brightly for the defensive midfielder, just like the team in general there was a notable drop-off come the end of the 2022/3 season. But all in all, playing a full campaign in one of the most physically intense leagues in Football would have done the 21 year-old the world of good. Now Morton is currently at Hull City, a club who are having a fine season under manager Liam Rosenior, exceedin…

I often find that the latest injury news gets buried in the match threads or in threads about individual players....So I thought a thread dedicated to the latest situation on our players with injuries might be a decent idea. Hopefully the forum server has enough bandwidth to cope.... So as it stands.... Luis Diaz: Knee Injury Oct 11: 'Six to eight weeks, we will see. He looks like a quick healer, but we will see. Could have been worse.' Potential Return 26/12/2022 Joel Matip: Calf/Shin/Heel Injury Further Detail Oct 21: 'Everything is going w…

Examples of the utter shitness of modern football are innumerable. The most recent example is the "Ronaldo v Messi" friendly at old shitford last night, where thousands of willing imbeciles queued up to be gleefully fleeced of fifty quid to watch a pointless friendly, marketed as a footballing masterclass, but in reality was a kick-about by 22 millionaires, the two richest of whom were subbed at half time much to the collective disappointment and outrage of said imbeciles. Fuck off.

I had heard rumours about this, but thought it was too absurd to really think it would ever happen. But here we are, what the fuck has happened here? Who in their right mind thought this was a good way of doing the members sale when it comes to future credits. Fuck you Liverpool FC.
