Thought I'd start a thread on this as a few of you have asked about it. Basically, anyone who has an active subscription should not be seeing any ads at all on the site (other than in house ones for t-shirts etc). Subscribers are ad free, so if you are seeing them it's because of the theme you have selected. Go to the bottom of the page and select TLW Subscribers theme. When that's selected you shouldn't be getting any ads showing. If your sub runs out you'll start seeing them and they won't automatically go when you renew, you'll need to scroll down and re-select the TLW Subscribers theme again. Any problems, either post in here or sen…

That’s that then. Season over, Klopp’s going out with a whimper and a campaign that promised so much is ending in massive disappointment and anger. Ok, we’ve got a trophy under our belts but is that League Cup really offering any consolation right now? Absolutely nothing is consoling me, I’m just fucking devastated about all this. It’s not the missing out (I think most of were expecting to come up just short), it’s the way we’re missing out. I need to strike the right balance here between how I’m feeling and what I know to be completely knee jerk over the top statements. How I feel right now is not what I’ll be feeling when I’ve calmed down. At least I don’t …

The Reds' ailing title challenge suffered a fatal blow in the worst place possible as Everton registered a deserved 2-0 in the Merseyside Derby at Goodison. Chris Smith is joined by Ian Brown and Dave Usher to discuss a dismal night when defensive lapses and misfiring forwards were coupled with an absence of the energy and synonymous with Jurgen Klopp's great sides. Sadly, it really did feel like the end. As this era comes to a sad close, the lads try to look to a future under Klopp's rumoured replacement Arne Slot, and address some looming decisions over the futures of the squad's biggest names. I don’t want to do this round up to be honest. Not after the derby. Would have been ok if there were no midweek games and I was just writing about the weekend, but midweek has proper put a massive downer on it all and made me want to just forget all about footy, as much as its humanly possible for someone who writes about it for a living anyway. You probably don't want to read about it either, which is fair enough. Watching these other games and writing about them isn’t going to be much fun so I wouldn’t be expecting the usual fun and nonsense this week, although I’ll try. I’ll start at Goodison where the Blues overcame Forest with considerable hel…

No 'clever' wordplay now. This past month or so has been so incredibly deflating. A Saturday lunchtime game. Again. Yay. TNT Sports have had to make do with the unwanted time slot, and the problem would be solved if that rule about no live football on TV at 3:00pm on Saturdays was ditched. Whatever was the basis for that decision surely is of no relevance today, so sticking to it is like when Americans adhere steadfastly to elements of the US Constitution that were constructed for the conditions of the time but should have no bearing on society today. If they do, then that society has made no progress. The 12:30 time slot is for the benefit of the Far East TV …

Jurgen Klopp says he feels a burden for the crippling slump in form which has seen Liverpool all but kiss their league title hopes away. The Reds came into the clash with Everton knowing that they needed to build on the momentum of wins against Atalanta and Fulham if they wanted to keep go level on points with Arsenal who had demolished Chelsea the night before. Under the German, his team have by and large risen to the task and played their hearts out from the first minute to the last, earning the name ‘mentality monsters’ for their never say die spirit. So with everything on the line, Liverpool arguably produced the most soul destroyin…

Work-rate. Incisiveness. Nous. I don't ask for much. This is how it's gonna be. Build from the ground up. After a much improved display and decent result at Fulham, we move onto the second of 4 away games in succession (the first being the trip to Bergamo) when we visit the 'Grand Old Lady'. Like a grand old lady, it's seen better days decades ago and now stinks of piss. Countless times this season, Everton have come up against an equally shit opponent, dragged them down to their level and beaten them through experience. They and Ashley Young got a massive helping hand against Forest, who were denied 3 penalties. Forest's cry-arsing sta…

Can't find a thread but the lad certainly deserves one. Right up there with Can for man of the match, tore Spurs and Danny Rose in particular apart in the first half. Second half they put two men on him to slow him down, he still found a ball to Lallana that turned into Balotelli's winner. What I like best is his confidence - anyone who watched him play for our youth teams could see he had the athletic ability, but since he came back from his loan he's bursting with confidence. Didn't phase him in the slightest to go straight into our first team and all three of his appearances so far he's demonstrated that. Well in Jordon Ibe and long may it continue!

It's unwatchable now. I got that Now TV pass for the game but don't know how you lads put up with it regularly. Wall to wall, and I mean wall to wall gambling ads. Shite commentary and "punditry" designed purely for turning into clips for clickbait articles (of course, it's non stop espn, echo and talks port facebook ads today going on about how Keane "called out' Virg and demanding I click on for my two minutes' rage. It's all been said about Neville and Carragher, but it's pure WWF, punch and Judy shit. I wouldn't wipe my arse with any of their 'insights' on a match, or anything else. Shame, sky Sports footy coverage used…

So, what do we reckon? I’ll give it two years maximum. He’ll get the first couple of transfer windows free because they’ll want to look like they’re invested in the ‘project’ but the majority of them will still want instant results. Thankfully these days instant results for them would be sneaking into the top 4. What a time to be alive.

Examples of the utter shitness of modern football are innumerable. The most recent example is the "Ronaldo v Messi" friendly at old shitford last night, where thousands of willing imbeciles queued up to be gleefully fleeced of fifty quid to watch a pointless friendly, marketed as a footballing masterclass, but in reality was a kick-about by 22 millionaires, the two richest of whom were subbed at half time much to the collective disappointment and outrage of said imbeciles. Fuck off.

Trent, Virgil and Mo all have 12 months remaining. I can't see any scenario were all 3 reach agreements on new contracts. If we have to sell 1, who is it?

Gather round mother fuckers. The creator of the once widely popular "our midfield" thread has something to say. When I started that thread nearly 2 years ago the first two pages were full of people saying there is fuck all wrong with our midfield. They soon realised. I now have them peeling my grapes and throwing them up to my throne. Our attack is seriously lacking fluidity, timing, skill and guile. We have become a power team. Which is fine against shite but against decent teams or players it won't cut it. We don't actually create proper chances anymore. Or should I say we don't unless the game is open. We shoot from the most stupid …

Rumours have it that this is a done deal. Article from the Mirror detailing his playing style: With the arrival of the January transfer window, Brendan Rodgers will be looking to build on the strong start to the season with a signing or two at Liverpool. And one name he is continually linked with is Basel youngster Mohamed Salah. But is he any good? Would he fit into to Rodgers' system at Liverpool? Here’s Ross Dunbar with everything you need to know about the 21-year-old: Salah has been on the radar of some English and German clubs for well over a year. In fact, the option was on the table for the Egypt international to leave Switzerland over the summe…

Has anyone seen the bitterness in the bluemoon forums? I stumbled across it yesterday. What the fk is wrong with them? As far as I'm concerned they aren't even our rivals. Look at this thread: https://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/liverpool-2018-19.335013/page-283 Embarrassing.

Fifa corruption: Swiss banks 'reported account suspicions' Swiss banks reported suspicious activity around accounts of football's world governing body Fifa, says the Swiss attorney general. Michael Lauber said his office was analysing a "huge amount" of seized Fifa data in its corruption inquiry. He said he did not rule out interviews with Fifa president Sepp Blatter as part of his inquiry. The investigation could lead to the reopening of the bidding process for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-33163918
