Fuck, I've been here since 2012 and have 22 posts. That's a bit sad.

Absolutely do it. I took my now 15 year old boy along when Bruce last came to Sydney in 2017 and he still talks about it. My lad plays sax so was rapt that they played Jungleland that night.

Totally agree. It's surprised me how "big" this album is - very cinematic with the sweeping strings. Don't go much on Miracle and 1-2 others but overall it's much stronger than I thought it would be. Western Stars is the next great Springsteen song. I don't even mind Sleepy Joe's Cafe - it's sort of growing on me. It's an album of character studies, I reckon. Jon Stewart said it best - you put on Springsteen's music and you never again felt like a loser. When you listen to Bruce’s music, you aren’t a loser. You are a character in an epic poem about...er...losers.

Yes. I live in Sydney, in one of the few parts of the country that appears to have retained some sense of something greater than self (the latte sipping socialist enclave the People's Republic of the Inner West of Sydney), and most of Australia seems to be increasingly becoming Trump's America. In politics it's been a race to the bottom for the two main parties for awhile now, based on the need to win over marginal electorates that have a lot of right-leaning (far-right leaning in Queensland) voters, but just the general vibe of the place is pretty fucked at times - fucking rednecks. These raids are very disturbing and demonstrate that the Coalition government here now thinks it has has a mandate to do whatever the fuck it likes to protect itself and its mates.

Lazy cnut. It's like he wasn't even on the pitch.

Go with ODT. Much easier.

You agree to have your name used in one fucking song, and it's endless grief from that point on.

No more warm weather camps. That fucks it up every time.

only on special occasions.

Oh and apologies for jumping in - long time signed up, most often very little to say, but now is the time.

You sure? From how ever many thousand miles away Sydney is this is looking horribly familiar. Those games at the end of the month look fucking awful even now. But, as you say, chins up.

Steady on - perfectly legit to be gutted over the result. That's only natural. But I was telling my 9 year old the same thing - watch them next year when Klopp has his team and a preseason.

Depends on who they support.

This has forced me out of my long time lurking. I never post because you guys always say it all before me and I'm a very long way away down here in Sydney, but that was so deflating. I agree about how could we look so knackered in that second half? Did Seville really just sit back in the first half, play compact and play long to avoid the pressing tactics, and then hit us with their true pattern once some of the running had gone out of Liverpool legs? No one took control - Toure at least tried, but he had fuck all support. I think Klopp would be shocked by that, but it may at least mean that certain players definitely leave over the summer. Gutting though. It's been a hell of a ride this season, with plenty to look back on, but fucking hell what a poor last 45.
