  1. The only slight reprieve may be that Bowen may not play, but yeah... inevitable we'll be the ones to put them back to winning ways as they'll be fired up and looking to make things right on home turf. Be nice if we could win though, just because fuck West Ham and their shitty fans.
  2. This is a large part of why I want to see the City train keep rolling if it's not us winning, that and quite frankly I know/talk to a number of Arsenal fans and a lot of them that were very quiet and 'done with being bothered' when Arsenal weren't challengers are now the first handing out the banter and giving it the big one, that and a few of them have made no bones over the years telling me why they don't want to see us win the league(apparently we'd be insufferable)/outwardly supporting Madrid in the CL final because it would mean us not winning it again(something they'd have no clue about anyway), so fuck em.
  3. The first time this season im fine with us having the early slot on a Saturday, play the kids, hope we somehow chance a win, if not least i've not spent any more of my weekend than needed waiting for the inevitable dissapointment.
  4. Yah sure it wasn't Dorris the tea lady?
  5. Honest question because im clueless, say we were to sell him this summer for 20-30m(id be shocked if we got 30 for him currently), given the cost of the player is amortised across their contract, does what ever remains of that cost then go on the current years/seasons balance sheet?
  6. Yup the lads absolutely goosed from being overplayed and being moved around every 2nd or 3rd game from a more attacking role to the deeper lying sole DM role which quite frankly is clearly not his best position and stifles his creativity, he's one of the few in the squad that I think can come out of this season with credit in the bank and doesn't deserve the criticism.
  7. I suspect this is the closest thing to the truth as well, history with him does suggest he isn't someone who leaves a team hanging mid season so I expect he felt it was his duty to at least finish this one up.
  8. I don't think you are wrong here and it's been in my thoughts as well recently, he's been our most reliable CB this season and looked a lot closer to peak VVD but I've felt he's disappeared as captain a lot of times when things aren't going to plan, I also think he could do more to be in the refs face/ear during games when I compare him to other captains.
  9. This is where I get labelled a superfan or whatever, but yup. Nunez absolutely deserves the piles of criticism he gets in terms of not being able to finish or hit a barn door from 2ft away and not looking like he's got it in him to be a top forward, but the way some seem to be blaming him as if he's the sole reason for recent losses is just way off, maybe if we stopped shipping easy goals/going behind first practically every game we wouldnt need to pressure our forwards to need to score at least two fucking goals every game, the losses/silly draws are a whole team issue, Nunez just as a whole trove of other overpaid pricks has his responsibility for them.
  10. Shame that wasn't the line from him as soon as we'd scraped a draw against United, also hope he's including himself in what he's saying because he's been part of it.
  11. Knowing our luck and his fragility he'll have a great euros then in the last match he plays end up long term crocked again.
  12. And thats exactly why they'll continue to be a bunch of small time weirdos not worth getting too bothered by anymore, this is now what they consider a massive achievement, they earnt their gloat tonight but in the grand scheme they weren't the team that stopped us winning the title anyway even if that's what they'll proceed to make out. Even when we are shit we've managed to add a trophy to the cabinet again this season, meanwhile the clocks about to tick over to 29 years since they last had a sniff of silverware, im pretty comfortable in the knowledge that while we win trophies their biggest achievements are pointless derby win and transfer windows.
  13. This was my thought when I saw he was suddenly injured again, reckon he's decided the seasons done and he'd be better saving himself to be fit for the euros so isn't going to push the bar out getting on the pitch for us.
