    Beige bands and artistes

Coldplay; liked by people who aren't really into music, but think it's trendy to do so. They're just a poor man's Radiohead, with far less talent. The same could be said about Ed Sheeran, Adele....and going back probably Dido (which is possibly slightly harsh).

    2022 / 2023 Fixtures

Why can't they ever have the same first half, and second half fixtures, like a lot of other countries do?

    Other Football 2021/22

I don't know how people can't see this; both games are virtually the same. An early lead, failure to get a 2nd - and then the opposition get into the game, England retreat to their own half - and can't get anybody on the ball... Southgate just stands there looking confused, unable to do anything.....England eventually lose.
  4. I feel (possibly unfairly) that we were a clinical striker away from winning the lot. There are far too many games that we're dominating, but the opposition are still in the game; we rarely put teams to the sword, despite the chances. Even in 3 Cup Finals, the chances have been there - not one put away. In the tight games v good opposition, you have to take your chances when they come. These games are all about fine margins...... We've had a great run, but at the moment it feels a bit deflating; so close to the impossible.....
  5. As I feared we looked tired, both mentally & physical; the signs weren't great in the last few games, but we've somehow pulled results out. However, when it was needed, they had nothing left...... And to be honest, 0 goals in three finals isn't great - which suggests there is an issue.

    Liverpool 3 Wolves 1 (May 22 2022)

Great write up; I'm not disappointed, sad or heartbroken. Just angry, and seriously fed up......92 points, following on from 97 three years ago, and not enough to win the title. What's that all about? I'm not even looking at where we dropped points; we got 92, and since January have only dropped points twice. We're not competing in an equal competition. Villa did the hard part, and then like too many other teams v City, concede a goal, and then fall to pieces....just like Wolves & Newcastle did recently. And it won't be any different next season, which is why we have to hit the ground running, and ideally be leading by Oct/Nov.

Yeah, I think it should be brought back..... Growing up, all 3 competitions knock out rounds were played on the same days. Then in the 90s, Tuesday was the UEFA Cup, Wednesday the Champions League, and finally Thursday was the Cup Winners' Cup.

    Wolves (H) - Sun 22nd May 2022 (4:00pm)

That Sheffield Weds game at home in April 1993; 0-1 down into injury time....somehow conjure up 2 goals to win.....that's the start of it, and when you knew they were never beaten...as the refs would almost play until they scored.

I know it's probably 'small time' but I've had to mute anything to do with City, Etihaad & their bald coach on Twitter as I can't bear to see anything about them. Another title 'won' at our expense.

    Wolves (H) - Sun 22nd May 2022 (4:00pm)

Agree - too many teams do it. Recently, both Newcastle & Wolves have given up, and shipped 5 goals against them. There's a 10 goal swing in 2 games. That's what we're up against. Why's it going to be any different next season, no matter how good we are.

    Wolves (H) - Sun 22nd May 2022 (4:00pm)

When you get over 90 points, and still don't win the title you just feel cheated...... Oil funded frauds
  12. Haan'sThunderbolt

All this and we end up with only the League Cup.

It's become relentless; you have to be on it from game 1; and my fear is the continuation of loads of teams just rolling over and accepting defeat, and conceding 3,4,5 goals to them. However, when they play us, it's the 'cup final'.....and we have to scrap for a tight win. This team is worthy of more than just the one Title....but the fates seem to be conspiring against us.....

Man City - the new bitters?

They're an irrelevant little club, and no matter how many PL titles they' win' won't change that. To me they'll always be the City of Peter Swales; sacking managers left, right and centre - and getting relegated and returning after a few seasons. And yet fans of other clubs think they're great for stopping us winning....You couldn't make it up.

    Sunak's Budget Speech

Far too many people like him in politics; only it for themselves, and in his case, the top job/ and the power. Has no understanding of the ordinary person struggling to make ends meet - and never will. As it doesn't affect them. Where are all the politicians who want to make a difference? Utterly depressing, and grim.

Not sure why it took so long - I did wonder that the talk of selling Chelsea was a bit off; finally action has been taken.
