Gerrard is a parody of his former self but Rodgers doesn't make his life easier to be honest. Terrible managing once again, no midfield and shite. After best game this season drop your RWB, play Henderson there and bring the usual dross into the midfield once again. Top-notch tactics Brendan lad, top-notch. Oh, and Lallana was shite once again as expected.

As much as I've complained about Rodgers, this one is on the players. What a weak team. How many times have we gifted a second goal within minutes of a team scoring on us? The second they concede, our defenders just completely fall apart.

Is it fatigue? It's just incredible to see professional players walking around the pitch, nobody making runs, lazy passing etc from a team that we know can play to a much higher level. Against Swansea, everything was clicking and nobody stopped running. Against Leicester (Leicester!) the players get frustrated and the entire game plan goes out the window.

Well, at least we didn't lose. We deserved nothing from that game and rather than trot out the usual excuses and criticisms it would be better just to congratulate Leicester for their passion and well earned point.

We are what we are - mediocre at best.

Steven Gerrard is the usual dross now?

Thought he was OK in the first half, myself.

Not great, not even good, really, but better than Lucas.  Tired badly after about 50 minutes, was absolutely awful for the last 30.

We can see the positive effect a player like Lucas has on the group.

Brendan can't see this. Sadly.

Imagine if he'd signed a younger/better version?

This is the crux of the problem.

He is trying to play pressing football with 2 old men in the middle.

Lucas can just about still hack 1 game a week, whereas Gerrard plays too much, and when he does he's bang out of position.

Terrible management.

That's by far the biggest load of shite served up this season, two gift penalty's at home against by far the worst side in the league. Can getting the run around by a Man U reject development player. Stevie and Lucas completely bypassed every time they attack. Sakho with his usual clangers that are every one else's fault but his. Markovic getting in the way of our own players headers. Fuck off Liverpool.

Fuck off Rodgers playing a Lucas-Gerrard midfield pairing that hasn't worked for about 5 years. Fail for not playing Manquillo, fail for not dropping the skipper, fail for putting the teenage dream Ojo on the bench instead of Mario. Just

The usual dross being Gerrard? Let's face it, he was never going to be left out two games in a row. Very disappointing after a hugely encouraging performance the other day

Stevie did tuck away two pens so for that alone its hard to knock him today. I would concede he doesn't add much from open play these days

Will be the story of the season, every time a glimpse of the top 4 appears we will shit ourselves. Nailed on for 6th - 8th.

Probably 42 points needed from 18 games to make top 4. 13 wins and a couple of draws.

Highly unlikely unless Sturridge comes back firing and stays fit and we buy another goalscorer find a way to stop conceeding so easily, which is very unlikely.

One step forward, one step back. That was the worst team in the league at home, kind of game that is in the must and should win category.
