The episode of Flight of the Conchords where Jermaine shags the Aussie lass had me in stitches from start to finish. The American Office has its moments too.

 

I haven't watched enough recent comedies though. They're really the only two. I've grown up on things like the Simpsons, Bottom, Brass Eye and the like so when I'm faced with the decision of finding something new to watch, more often than not I'll just re-watch my faves like a sad bastard.

It's not so much the quality of the dialogue that makes Curb stand out. It's the sheer randomness within some of the dialogue that makes it so brilliant. "Grandma" in the above being a perfect case in point.

 

Another class scene is Larry telling his GP about his rash. It's so matter-of-fact but laugh out loud funny at the same time.
