    General Election 2019

He wouldn’t answer a simple question in a direct way, he wouldn’t answer much in a clear, simple way, he tried to make some terrible joke about teeth, and had a frog in his throat the entire time, which muffled most of what he said. It wasn’t car crash, but you’d probably be forgiven for thinking you were talking to your grandad. He has this strange condescending tone when in interviews. He is much better on a podium than 1 v 1. I didn’t disagree with too much he said, but he just doesn’t sell himself or his ideas that well in that environment.

    General Election 2019

He was indeed shite on Marr this morning, but I think he would come out looking better against Johnson than you give him credit for. When given time, he can offer decent points. Johnson will repeat Trump-esque soundbites about terrorism, IRA, antisemitism, etc.

    Lib Dems

No, you’re a vociferous critic of Liberal Democrats, mate. We can barely get a word in edgewise with all your self-criticism. Fucking hell, man. You do know how he been reading your posts for a decade, right? I’ve genuinely never seen anybody on this forum more partisan than you. You’re Muslim-cleric levels of partisan.

    General Election 2019

I can’t be bothered replying to the several posts talking about centrists and centrist policies, but I have to be honest I’m getting really tired of people injecting that invented bollocks into what I’ve said. You don’t buy it, AoT? Cool, I wasn’t fuckin’ selling it, mate.

Fucking bullshit. The idea that Labour are a danger to Jews is absolutely disgusting.

    General Election 2019

I hope not, because it’s looking fucking grim, mate. 7 points lead to a Tory government. I hope something crazy happens, but I just can’t see it.

    General Election 2019

Come of it. How is what I posted fantasy. The Tories are 15points up in the polls. Labour haven’t won an election in fucking years. The rest is the fallout.

    General Election 2019

Yeah, I don't think they will either. I don't think they need to. I just think it's going to end them as a party of government for a very, very long time if they put idealism ahead of electability once again. I don't think they're interested in pragmatism, they're interested in ideology and idealism. Well, that's fine. Absolutely respect their democratic right to do whatever they want to do, but they'll be dead as a party of government if they get the next party leader wrong. So they can select their ideal and put up with their hated enemy being in government and setting the agenda. What they'll end up this time, for all their talk of nationalisation and Brexit for workers is more privatisation and Brexit for the few. Ideal.

    General Election 2019

Here’s where I think we are (standby for pessimism): Next to zero chance of a Labour majority. Conservatives the largest party, not unlikely to be able to form a coalition or a minority government. In that scenario, we leave Europe either with a shitty Brexit deal or with a shitty deal that then leads us to WTO rules adherence. Scotland probably fucks off and it leaves little ol England to do its own thing. From an Empire upon which the sun never set to a lump of rock in a few lifetimes. Good job. Alternatively, a shock happens and Labour can somehow form a coalition, or at least get some sort of agreement on votes. I doubt it though. If that can’t happen, surely Corbyn fucks off and it’s down to Labour members on who they choose to l ad into the next election. If it’s more of the same, it might well just end them as a party. I think we’ve got a lot of Tory governments ahead of us at this point. The future is bleak.
