I have been set a task by my sister to compose a 15 track cd for her of great cover versions. I'm struggling a bit for the last few and need you, the people, to help me. Here my call and come forth.

So far I have:

Mylo - Sweet Child Of Mine

Arctic Monkeys - Love Machine

Paul Weller and Oasis - Day Tripper

Liam Gallagher and Steve Craddock - Carnation

Johnny Cash - Hurt

Feeder - Can't Stand Losing You

Frankie Eisenhower - Im Only Sleeping

Graham Coxon - Time for Heroes

Jimmy Eat World - Firestarter

Arcade Fire - Maps

The Zutons - Take Your Mama

If you're going to have an oasis cover it has to be I am the walrus I think. I would then have Under the Bridge by All Saints and Stairway to Heaven by Rolf Harris, purely so I can imagine just how apoplectic precious Chilli Peppers and Zeppelin fans get. It makes me laugh you see..

Oh, and also the Jimi Hendrix version of All Along the Watchtower by Dylan is ace.

Indeed, can't believe I didn't think of this initially.

Have also now added:

Johnny Cash - One

Richard Thompson - Oops I did it again

In the same vein, 'Comfortably Numb' by the Scissor Sisters.

The two that immediately sprung to mind were Ian Brown - Billy Jean and Jose Gonzalez - Heartbeats, both already suggested. Erm what else? Nobody does it better by Radiohead? I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself by The White Stripes, that was class. If you want something totally different get hold of Will Young's version on Hay Ya... got to say it was very good.
