The Mbappe to Liverpool rumours are far more concrete than the Jones to Arsenal rumours and that is really saying something.

 

That said, if wages werent a thing, I would actually believe that Mbappe might come here. But unfortunately, footballers do in fact get paid.

He's at a club that has given him the world and all its riches, a club that he is so in control of that he's seen off Neymar and Messi to sit atop of.

 

As a result his work ethic, especially off the ball, has been questioned by a few members and he cruises through some games.

 

Maybe he finds the league too easy and is bored or maybe there's a genuine attitude issue.

 

Regardless, after the initial signing (which we won't make) and his first 6 months I'd just brle waiting for those first signs of discontent and the long drawn out process of his inevitable move to where he really wants to be.

Was looking at their squad the other day and you can see why they'd want another midfielder, their options in there are terrible. Considering they should be doing everything they can to let Odegaard focus on the attacking side of the game they've had him carrying water for the likes of Havertz and Trossard masquerading as midfielders for a fair part of the season.

 

Not a surprise that Saka and Martinelli are struggling with him playing deeper.
