  1. I’m sat here listening to my 1962/1966, 1967/1970 vinyl box set, absolutely brilliant remixes. I have first pressings of the first pair of albums, they suffered from the awful mono/stereo conversion of the day; but these are a joy to listen to.
  2. In answer to the original question, I saw the Who live 7 or 8 times prior to the death of Moon. I went to see Led Zeppelin once and walked out after an hour.
  3. I’ve tried sticking with this, but this week was just ridiculous. Even the ships computer has got fucking emotional problems now, self-doubt, neurosis and paranoia. Everybody spends more time giving support and comfort to the person (or machine) next to them to get on with the main story line. No way this crew could function as a tight, efficient unit, rewatching TNG at the same time shows how it should be done.
  4. I don't understand why McCartney rubbished the Phil Spector version, made Let it Be Naked and then used the Spector version for this?
  5. I've got ticket for Saturday in Manchester, not seen them since Gabriel left. First time I saw them they were the suport band for Lindisfarne.
  6. Now don’t get me wrong, I own at least one copy of every album the Beatles released (4 different copies of the white album). But as a Yorkshire man I can’t help but feel the bands ties to the city are skewing the voting on this, and I think that’s why people are dropping away it’s pretty obvious the final is going to be an all Beatles vote. With the best will in the world the Beatles didn’t produce the 3 or 4 greatest albums ever.
  7. There's some really great stuff going out here, Floyd and Rumours for me but they wont go through
  8. If you used an average based on only the last five? games it would represent current form more accurately. I'm not sure there is any need for any other kind of weighting.
  9. If the games can't be played, calculate each teams average points over last five games, which best represents recent form and award that number of points for the outstanding games. This would be the fairest way to calculate who wins titles, promotions and qualifications and who gets relegated. Voiding the season only punishes the successful and rewards the losers.
  10. All they need now is 8,000 specially trained nurses, something there is already a shortage of, brain dead pillocks.
  11. You can’t fault him, he has a great sense of humour!
  12. He's one of them refs that thinks 54,000 have come to watch him
