Welcome to the new and improved TLW!

Some of you may experience issues logging in and will get an 'incorrect password' error. Don't worry, you haven't typed it in wrong and your password hasn't been changed. You will need to reset it though in order to log in. Click the reset password link and you will receive an email with your new temporary password. Once logged in, you need to choose a new password (or restore to your old one) otherwise you will be locked out again.

If you have an out of date email address linked to your account, then you won't receive the new password. If that's the case then you'll need to email me (dave @liverpoolway.co.uk) or send me a tweet @theliverpoolway and I'll update your password manually.

Any other problems or questions just let me know.

Thanks

Dave

    The Beatles

I've got the 1968 stereo version I bought at the time, I've also got another copy as part of the mono box set on vinyl. I have ordered the 3 disc CD, I'd love the 4 disc vinyl but I can't justify £88 on an album I've already got two copies of, maybe for Christmas.

Tottenham at Anfield, February 4th 2018

Taking Henderson off turned that game, all our shape was lost.

    FSG are not shit

Now the dust has settled on the transfer window, I’ve come to two conclusions on the FSG issue. Firstly FSG have a different idea of success from us fans, they operate based on a system of diminishing returns. The cost of getting us from fourth to first will be far greater than the rewards gained from a financial standpoint, so they are not interested in going down that route. As far as they are concerned the club is operating pretty much at an optimum level financially, a good return for an acceptable investment. Secondly, whilst Jurgen Klopp is obviously one the worlds top managers, he’s also a yes man. Either that or he won’t be around much longer. Just a thought

    The Blacklist

Just watched season 1, quite good but the really great thing is the music, if they ever do a sound track it'll be awesome! (take about 10 CDs like) Now for season 2.

    Pink Floyd lovers

Comfortably Numb, Wish You Were Here. Never done drugs, don't even smoke. Big confession though, only recently bought and listened seriously to WYWH. Over the years loads of people have said it is better than DSOTM, but I lived in ignorant denial. O.M.G it's truly awesome, must listen to it at least twice a week now. Mike

    Scottish Independence, yay or nay?

It still needs to be clarified 'what is meant by independence' If it means total independence then fine, they can vote witch-ever way they want and good luck to them. But if they think they can still be subsidised by the UK then we should tell them to fuck right off. How can three million taxpayers pay for a national education system, health system, defence, police and justice system and all the other parts of a nations infrastructure? They can't! the thirty odd million taxpayers of the UK are struggling to keep their heads above water, so they've no chance, but they're free to give it a go if they want.

    Record player/Vinyl

This is my set up, although you are looking at about 3k for this. i began this upgrade about eighteen months ago, up until then I'd always thought vinyl far superior to cd so stayed with it. Two things have changed my opinion a bit. Firstly in the last 4/5 years the CD manufacturers have upped their game because of the download threat, and secondly my new kit has enabled me to hear the improvement. I now only buy vinyl to add to existing collections, if I'm buying an artist new to me I go for CD, they're just more convenient to play and now they're good enough imo.

    Glastonbury

I thought the stones were crap to be honest, and I'm a stones fan! Saw them about 20 years ago, (steel wheels tour) and they were excellent. Last night they sounded like four of them knew the songs, but had never played together, and the other two didn't know the songs. You wouldn't think they were at the end of a world tour, they should have been tighter than that. I thought Arctic Monkeys were good on Fri. and I really enjoyed Sea Sick Steve. Two Door Cinema Club and Example would have been my pick of Sat.

The Who Live at The Isle of Wight Festival

Saw them 7 or 8 times prior to Moon dying, carried on buying the albums to keep the collection complete; but haven't seen them live since. Just not the same without that mad bastard.

    Shaving the twins.

I do this for a living (someone has to!) I was preparing a patient on the table a few weeks ago, when the Bee Gees started on the radio, I looked down at the patient and said "just think in half an hour you'll be able to sing like this" Good luck.

    Springsteen - The River

Will go to the fuzzy warbles and give it a spin, it was bought as a present last year and I've never given it a serious listening to, must be the double album thing! Mike
