Yeah I said a while ago it doesn’t seem too accurate in my local area. It went from over 2,000 cases a day to less than 500 in a couple of days.

Same here, it's up and down like a yo-yo. Presumably there's too few reporting in smaller areas to get an accurate figure.

Public transport was a nightmare during the first lockdown, buses and trains were running a heavily reduced service. They're running a full slate through this second lockdown, however.
