I think Labour have been in power 36 years out of the last 100... it's not a great record. So from that perspective we should go for it but mainly because it's fairer and everybody's vote counts depending on what system you go for Pretty sure Starmer supports PR https://www.electoral-reform.org.uk/keir-starmer-weve-got-to-address-the-fact-that-millions-of-people-vote-in-safe-seats-and-they-feel-their-voice-doesnt-count/

Rate the last film you watched...

Danger Close Vietnam war flick following the Anzac troops. It's on Netflix Ive been close to jibbing off Netflix as the vast majority of content seems like tat. This has restored my faith a little. Cracking film 8/10 flaming gallahs
  4. People who don't like cricket probably like beans and molesting small animals Similar to people who like motor sports and bumming sheep

  7. My mum's from St Helens Every now and then as a kid I'd go to Anfield on Saturday with my dad and Knowsley Rd on Sunday with my mum to watch the Saints Happy days and still very fond of The Saints in particular and rugby in general

  10. I've been to a few Fall gigs back in the late 80s and they weren't great Also, Mark E Smith was a bad bellend Oasis, also Mancs, also bad bellends but catchier tunes and , to some extent, helped to define the late 90s Fuck me, though, I've never seen so much fake Burberry tat and silly hats than at an Oasis concert. Despite all that they scrape my vote

    Coronavirus

Said this before but people don't realise how terrible Brexit will be I agree with your general point but not sure of the legal implications for off shoring. Won't be a problem for the large Multi-Nationals but for smaller companies there will be HR/Employment issues which will make it riskier and so more expensive

    Coronavirus

I know for a fact that 2 of the largest Legal companies are looking to offload a most of their office space. A lot will be moving out of the high cost centres... the City will deffo suffer and Liverpool might gain a little. Haven't heard about any significant out-sourcing although Brexit will have an impact. Business will and has gone from the UK to Amsterdam, Dublin, Frankfurt etc

    Keir Starmer

The last election knocked quite a lot of stuffing out of me, have to say I hope & believe that the next Lab Govt will introduce PR and do something about our media...at a minimum owners of Papers/Media outlets have to be resident in the UK and paying taxes and restart/ implement Leveson 2. Re PR think it's inevitable as FPTP helps, primarily, the Tories so in Labours best interest to get rid. It would encourage minor parties and add diversity which will be double edged as cunts like Farage will get seats Most of all a shit Lab Govt is better than the best Tory Govt and I think Starmer can do good things

No offence towards you, mate, but I hate this sort of nihilst shit How do you think we're ever going to change our voting system and media ownership rules if people who oppose them stop voting? They're not going to magically evaporate in a cloud of fucking fairy dust They need to be fought against and peoples votes are the strongest weapons

    Keir Starmer

When Red Ed decided not to contest the Tories claim that Lab were responsible for the Global Crash on 2008 he gave the Tories a winning weapon they've been able to use for the last 3 elections I'm concerned that Keir is doing something similar with the corruption, nepotism and incompetence displayed on a daily basis by this Govt I'd like to seem him more pro-active and hammer them all day every day until it becomes a fact in the consciousness of the great British public that Tory=Crook and Tory=Shit etc It's obviously very good that he is now polling ahead of the fat cunt but it is concerning that so many seem happy to vote for the filthy bastards

I'd sack him and bring back Jeremy That would solve all the problems as he's always been so popular with everybody

    The Official Cricket Thread

God, I love Test Cricket! What a game that was... England dead & buried then combination of wonderful, brave batting, good luck and some woeful Pakistan decisions we snatch it Butler excellent innings but his keeping just isn't up to it and the off spinner... he has something but I think he needs some more County experience before playing for England again. Pope looks good and Root back in the groove. Nice

  21. Hmm, by that logic music produced last week will be better than the PSB that was done 30 years ago Or fucking Mozart doing his shit 250 years ago

Think most of the Brexit vote was down to fairly affluent pensioners, 64% voted to leave They'll be pretty safe as their pensions are protected but when house prices crash and their children & grandchildren suffer they'll notice it then. The C2/DEs voted 65% for Brexit when they voted but most didn't bother to vote
  23. The guitar from 1.07 is possibly the best riff in Rock I love it Liked the PSB especially Rent and Always on my Mind. Here's the 12" version which is a classic

It's one thing to say they'd take decades of misery it's another thing to wake up in the morning on the dole with no prospects and the bank looking to take your house
