Agree with that. Lucas bossed the midfield throughout. Kept it simple, and made space for himself and others. Meireles complemented him very well. His attitude is spot on and he's always looking to play a progressive ball. If he can't play it forward, he will pick out a teammate and play a ball the teammate can move on to, as opposed to check back. It's a small detail that helps generate fluidity in our attacks. Babel showed a real hunger tonight, which he also did in Romania last week, and this time his teammates were closer in support and it made his own game much more effective. Good dominant display against an admittedly wretched Villa side, and well done to Pepe on getting his ton. The big bald ledge.
