Part of Florida is in the South, but most of it is not. 

 

Jacksonville, kinda. Pensacola, sure. But culturally, "the South" stops around Ocala or so, probably around 15% of the population of Florida.

Just had a look at Pensacola on Google Maps and I reckon the people of Aleppo might feel a little put out by this statement.

With all due respect to wiki travel, all you have to do is look at a map to see that Tampa is not North Florida. It's also very different to the north, which as I said is red neck central. Tampa is nice, been there plenty, frequented the adult establishments, seen a Rays game, a Bucs game. Worlds apart from what you see in the Panhandle, which is pretty much all meth labs.

It would be the northern frontier of the Gulf Coast. We may let Tarpon Springs in but certainly have to draw the line at New Port Richey.
