They have said that PS4 is region free again so you can import one from America for $399 or about £256.

 

Not surprised that they are making you pay for Playstation Plus to go online this time. Hopefully they will make some improvements like cross game chat. Its quite good that if you already have it then you can just continue your subscription to the new machine.

My only concern with importing hardward would be the tax on it if it gets stopped at customs and trying to get it repaired under warranty in the UK.

I have a feeling they both might suffer with there new consoles. Xbox because of the price and also there machine looks more aimed for people wanting to stream tv or movies online than games.

The ps4 will sell more anyway and priced at £350 and is aimed at the gamer more than xbox. I think they have made a major mistake in not making the ps4 backward compatable. So all the ps3 games are useless on this system. That I imagine will have a major impact on there sales , as parents will realise it will mean spending a lot of cash on new games .

Especially as some of the AAA launch titles will be circa £60.

Couldn't they use the saved game info in your account to allow you to stream them free!

Not sure on how it's going to connect yet but at a guess you're going to have to buy the game again if you want it streamed via Gaikai to your Vita.

 

Still a lot of questions yet about that side of things.

There'll be bundles a plenty on launch I'm sure. I want Killzone 4 and Battlefield 4 myself, along with Watch Dogs.

 

Colour me interested in Black Flag but we'll see how it goes.

To be fair I've gone back to the original and Back to Karkand maps, but I can't wait for BF4 to come out. The footage coming out of E3 is immense.

I liked all the map packs. It was more to do with I got the platinum trophy so moved on to playing new things.

I will be getting a PS4 in a bit, not straight away.

 

With regards to PS3 games on it, I heard that it would recognise the disc and allow you to stream it, but not play off the actual disc. Not sure if that is true. It would be ace if it was. It doesn't really matter though as we can play the PS3 games.... on the PS3!
