  1. Having seen most of the games this weekend, it's pretty obvious that City and ourselves are streets ahead. The sad thing is that only for financial doping we'd be looking at a second successive league title.
  2. I've been lucky to see us win all 6 but this one means the most to me. When we won the first 4 we had a great team that was used to winning and it was sort of expected. Number 5 was more of a relief for me, one of our greatest nights dont get me wrong, but being honest I never felt we would push on from there. This is why I feel this one is so important, the whole club is on the verge of something special and this was just the start. This group of players is capable of writing it's own glorious history and it's great to be back in the big time.
  3. Number 6 obviously. Bayern away was special too, one of the best European away performances in many a year. Thought the first goal from Sadio was goal of the season too. But let's be honest there have been loads of great moments. We have had plenty of false dawns in recent history but I genuinely believe that this team is on the verge of something special.
  4. Yeah the 89 game doesn't really come into it for obvious reasons as you said. I hope for your lads sake that he gets to experience what we have but there is no better feeling than winning the league, which for what's it's worth, is the big one for me.
  5. I genuinely thought we'd do it this year but the way its ended up, its really hard to take. I went to my 1st game in October 77 so I've seen plenty of ups and downs but none of them left me feeling like this. I think its the fact that for some reason the whole country has been against us. I so wanted to ram it back down their throats. Hopefully we can make up for it with the CL but it's the dread of absolute gobshites with no interest in football sticking their oar in. Fuck off!!! At least we can be excited about what's to come this season and beyond. Klopp will break his duck and I"ve no doubt we will go from strength to strength.
  6. I must have missed it, but at what point did Calvert-Lewin become the second coming? I've never heard so much shite spoken about a championship standard footballer.
  7. The thing that concerns me is the clear lack of a Plan "B". The subs very rarely make a difference and the style of play doesn't change. Everything is through the middle and its easy to defend. We actually look dangerous when we play it out wide. It looks great when it works but teams have us worked out. Force everything inside and pack the defence. I just wish the front 3 would interchange and give the opposition defenders something to think about, but they just run the same patterns. So bastard frustrating!!!
  8. The ghost of Clive Thomas was alive and well in Bermondsey tonight and I'm sure they'll find a way to blame us for this one. Great stuff!!!!
  9. The thing for me is that I'm so desperate for us to win it, I genuinely can't enjoy it and I really really want to. I went to my first match in 1977 so I've seen some of the greatest Liverpool sides to ever grace a pitch, but if we win it this year it will be up there with the best of them. Reason being, in times of financial doping, to do what we've done when we've had to sell to buy is nothing short of remarkable. We are in a great position and looking at the remaining fixtures, City have it all to do. 2014 was soul destroying but this would hurt so much more. No doubt City have the better individuals but we have the better team. It's the sum of the parts etc etc. I really do need to stop drinking.
  10. This. My hatred for them knows no bounds. I make myself so angry reading GOT, I thought it was a parody website, but no they are genuinely mentally ill. Their obsession with us is unbelievable. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than seeing them go into administration and disappear forever. Plenty of my relatives support them, all cunts to a man. Fuck them!!!
  11. Not sure if Milner, Henderson and Gini are suited against an opposition midfield with pace. That's where I'd like to see Keita in an ahead of Henderson, just to give us a bit more dynamism.
  12. Cunt club with cunt fans. I hate them with a passion. CUNTS!!!!!
  13. Easy to defend against at times on the edge of the opposition box. We never seem to go wide and turn the defenders.
  14. My head has well and truly fallen off....oh wait a minute it really hasn't.
  15. I'm certainly not taking anything for granted on Tuesday, but as a team there aren't many that can live with our pressing across the park, Utd can try all they want but they don't have the players to do it. We can hurt city and they know it, that will always be at the back of their mind. I still think we will score. Will it be easy, will it fuck..have we anything to worry about...have we fuck, we are Liverpool.
  16. I wouldn't disagree with that. We are too rigid in our formation at times and the subs are like for like.
  17. Obviously gutted but I think that for the 1st goal Lovren gets drawn in due to Emre Can not standing in front of Lukaku. Once Lovren gets drawn in there is a huge gap in behind. If Can stands in front of him Lovren can drop back and cover the space. At the end of the day the 1st half killed us and we where always playing catch up.
  18. I think she is mate, but dont really know her. It has caused a massive rift in the family unfortunately, fall outs all over the place and some of them are kept away from seeing him. Sentences are far too light in some cases.
  19. I've known Simon personally for over 30 years, we were best mates as teenagers. He's a massive red too and we used to travel everywhere to games in the 80's and early 90's. We also joined the military together. We lost touch over the years but recently got back in contact. He absolutely loved his family especially his grandkids. He was a big lad and did attract trouble in the past because of his size but always avoided it. He really was a "Gentle Giant". I'm led to believe, only for one of his mates throwing himself on top of him they would have killed him. Absolutely heart breaking to see him like this.
