Red Phoenix being a conspiracy peddling anti-vaxxer is the least surprising revelation in recent years. Part of the lunatic cabal that doesn't believe scientists, epidemiologists, nurses, doctors and researchers but instead 'did their own research' which boils down to reading wacko shite on Facebook because their bullshit filter doesn't work and there's an implied arrogance that they're smarter than the rest of the country who has had the vaccine.

It's not the Matrix, you're not special, you need to give your head a wobble.

Yea.

Was it a resort in Austria or Italy at the beginning of Covid that was one of the main starting points?

It was. In Austria I think.

Nah, it was Lombardy in Northern Italy. (One of Austria's first cases was someone bringing it in from Lombardy.)

Ah, right. I think it was in Northern Italy a few weeks earlier, though.

What was? That story about an Austrian ski-resort was popular at the time as the supposed European "super spreader" event / ground zero. First cases were later linked to Germany a month or so before the ski-resort and so on.

Northern Italy was a couple of weeks ahead of Austria.

Lombardy was the first area affected in Europe, but the Austrian ski resort was mentioned as the key super spreader place for the continent, because of its international clientele. Much of first tracing in several countries lead there. It later transpired that there were earlier cases in Germany, someone who traveled to Wuhan. Some Atalanta football match was already mentioned as important. The infamous ski-resort was Austrian.

We’ve got middle child unwell. Pale, rough, vomiting, etc. I’m hoping it’s just a bug but I’ve got a horrible feeling about it. She’s never unwell.

Going for PCR tests now but it means the youngest is off school again. She’ll be off tomorrow unless the results come back early in the morning, and if either is positive that’s another 10 days isolation.

It’s really pissing me off now. The strategy is clearly to let kids catch it at school and bring it home to infect other family members. It’s a fucking disgrace.

If either of the girls come back positive then I don’t know how we’re going to isolate them. They share a bedroom and their beds are only about three feet away from one another. If one of them has Covid then surely they’ll both have had it…

It was easy to manage when the boy had it. He basically locked himself in his room for 10 days. That can’t be done for an eight year old. It can’t be done for a 13 year old who’s visibly poorly either.

Fingers crossed it's just a bug mate.

Hopefully nothing to worry about. All the best John.
