Widespread reports in Italy on €65m Liverpool bid for Alisson...completely wrong (unfortunately). NO bid from @LFC, no contact at all with player or club. No plans to bid at this stage either. Was some interest earlier in window, but cooled and not revived. #LFC

'the fuck? Maddock muscling in on Pearce territory, it's not right.

Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri - who had been linked with pretty much all the top Premier League clubs for the past year - has joined Fulham along with another Nice player Maxime Le Marchand for a combined £30m. Of course Fulham are entitled to try and sign whoever they want but the Seri deal reminds me a bit of when Tevez and Mascherano went to West Ham. Not because of any dodgy agent-led transaction but because those two had been linked with much bigger clubs than West Ham.

If we end up with just Fabinho, Keita and Shaqiri i would say we will have once again failed to really do enough to kick on hard from a position of strength.

It would also pretty much end any arguments about the Coutinho money being spent...

Is that right. City or rather the papers had been banging on about Citys immenent signing of him since the season ended.

There was something in The Guardian about it yesterday, Sarri is on the verge of becoming Chelsea’s new manager and Jorginho wants to play for him. Seems odd forgoing Champions League football to play for that shower, but hey ho.

I can’t see us not signing Fekir, the Echo are banging on about Danny Ward being given a chance so we might not sign a keeper. Didn’t realise Ward was 25.

Yep, whilst Keita and Fabinho are excellent additions, and Shakiri is a good addition at the price we still lack genuine depth of cover for the front 3, and sticking with Karius & Mig as the gk options is akin to putting the wheels off a Ford Focus on a Ferrari.

He must want to play and you'd think he'd be hammering Klopp's door down given the mediocrity he finds himself behind. Surely he'll be off and get games elsewhere if he can't get them here.

As for Fekir - it is hard to know what to make of it all isn't it.

I don’t know too much about Fekir other than his stats look pretty good, I just think there’s too much noise and no denials from the usual suspects for there to be nothing in it.

If Pearce hasn't Pearced it yet then maybe it is a goer.

That gobshite at Lyon though seems to want a bidding war - if he plays in final on Sunday and does something then it might just start.

He's not got much of a sniff so far. The only way he'll get a decent number of minutes on Sunday is if France are already 3-0 up after an hour.
