Israel - A Rant

This thread is living up to its potential. We've got bigots calling people racists and the leader of one of the worlds most evil institutions ever held up as a shining light in justification for Corbyn calling for a ceasefire. Lets keep it going.

Sounds terrible. Who do you blame for that?

Anyone who uses religion, race, nationality or ethnicity to manipulate people and incite hatred to accumulate wealth.

I believe in one human race, one Earth, no borders, no passports, no weapons, no wars … it’s a dream basically, and the world is too full of hatred for that dream to come true in my life time.

I have to say (as ever) I probably haven't covered myself in much glory in this thread but fucking hell quite a few people especially in the last few days those who have contributed and those who have given sly negs/reps really need to have a look at themselves and if ever they question why anyone assumes they're racist, instead of blaming the accuser they need to stop and have a think.

Fuck Hamas, Fuck the IDF, Fuck anyone who kills innocent civilians wether you're the IRA, The US Military, The Pope or the fucking Daleks.

I just have a state of anger. The needless loss of life

Especially more for the politician cunts weaponising this conflict, which was engineered by this fucking country. Jenkinson, pushing a narrative (or how I certainly took it, although he didnt say the words) that waving a Palestenian flag is akin to showing Hamas support, which of course is a criminal offence as the whole organisation is now proscribed.

The partizanship sickens me, as does the abject hypocrisy. Some cunt points at the left leaning and we are all supposed to be joyously celebrating a young murdered mother, half naked in a truck with Hamas terrorists proclaiming their victory. Fuck off. No reasonable human celebrates death, let alone score cheap points from weaponising it. Thats politician, blert on a football website, cunt on twitter. Get in the fucking bin.

I have had to back out of following the story on news and social meejia because it channels my anger, which is fear driven in the sense of being able to do fuck all about it, and reign myself in to what is my world. A selfish priviliged position indeed, but I am no more a cunt than the next cunt. Brexit did the same as did the 2019 election, and I hate myself for the state of anger these situations put me in.

Is the world more fucked than 48 hours ago ? Probably not. Radio news reporting that 78 Palestenian kids amongst the dead in retaliatory attacks where 400 plus have died. With the 700 odd yesterday in Hamas attacjs, thats over a thousand. And its all fucking pointless waste. No one is fucking celebrating.

What's the chances of this leading to further escalation and Iran being attacked by Israel?

Not a chance...thankfully. Iran is not Gaza. They've got 'assets' all over the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. Not forgetting Hezbollah. As much as Netanyahu would probably love to, the US would not allow it. Nor do I think the Israelis can afford to open up another front.

This could change things though:

Iran helped Hamas plan its surprise attacks against Israel over the weekend, according to senior members of Hamas and Hezbollah who spoke to the Wall Street Journal.

The Journal reports:

Officers of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had worked with Hamas since August to devise the air, land and sea incursions –the most significant breach of Israel’s borders since the 1973 Yom Kippur War—those people said.

Details of the operation were refined during several meetings in Beirut attended by IRGC officers and representatives of four Iran-backed militant groups, including Hamas, which holds power in Gaza, and Hezbollah, a Shiite militant group and political faction in Lebanon, they said.

U.S. officials say they haven’t seen evidence of Tehran’s involvement. In an interview with CNN that aired Sunday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said: “We have not yet seen evidence that Iran directed or was behind this particular attack, but there is certainly a long relationship.”

“We don’t have any information at this time to corroborate this account,” said a U.S. official of the meetings.

A European official and an adviser to the Syrian government, however, gave the same account of Iran’s involvement in the lead-up to the attack as the senior Hamas and Hezbollah members.

Asked about the meetings, Mahmoud Mirdawi, a senior Hamas official, said the group planned the attacks on its own. “This is a Palestinian and Hamas decision,” he said.

Just had a brief discussion with a rightie who is disgusted that Corbyn didn’t “condone” yesterday’s Hamas attacks. I asked why would he do that, and he accused me of lacking a brain for not being against the murder of woman and children. We’re about 5 or 6 messages in and he’s still not got around to grasping that “condone” doesn’t mean what he thinks it does.

The fuckwits are piling on everyone who isn't condemning it
