Malaysian Boeing 777 goes missing

Would be fucked up if it was a total coincidence.

Quite.  I don't see how the airline can say all security checks were made when two guys with stolen passports are on board.  Do security checks not include making sure people don't have the wrong passports?  Can someone in the industry, such as JohnnyH, clarify this for a non-airy layman like me?

The checks are all done, but a handling agent or airline can only look for obvious forgeries as the staff don't have the equipment or training to spot the good ones. For each person that gets through on a fake, stolen, or even an out if date passport, it's a £2000 fine per person to the airline so it's in their interests to spot them. But excellent forgeries or lookalikes are a lot harder to spot. Passport control at an airport will spot 99% of them. But the 1% will get through. Human trafficking is regular.

Would it be possible for it to blow up and leave no trace just engulfed and then disintegrated. Would it be possible to hit the water at any speed and not have parts break off on the way. Its a massive ocean so there still could be debris floating about somewhere. Its definitely in dinosaur times though...... 4000 years ago.

They're all on an island being chased by smoke monsters and having to type in codes to stupid computers before they eventually all meet up in some bullshit church ending.

I honestly did think you were going to claim to enjoy the Lost ending, just to fuck with people.

Good questions.  The two passport terrorists seized control and nosedived into the ocean at the highest velocity possible, perfecting the "no smashed plane" entry into the water.   Right?

This missing jumbo jet is either :

  • in the sky
  •
  • in the sea
  •
  • on the ground

Well, it still can't be in the sky, so already that's 33% of all the possible whereabouts ruled out...and that only took me 30 seconds to deduce.

At this rate we'll have that fucker pinpointed by half past 11 easy.
