Unless we had Baresi and Maldini playing today we would still have conceded a few goals today. Individual errors are covering up the underlying issue as to how the team was set up.

Correct. The same set of defenders had the third best defensive record in the league last season. Its a fucking nonsense to blame individual defenders.

As well as a fucking abysmal defensive set up there is also the fact that until half time we played without a midfield, which obviously isn't a huge help to the defence.

Some serious drama queens. Generally we're improving it's inevitable that there are going to be bumps in the road, this isn't the end of the world.

Yeah mate but when the same mistakes keep happening!!! From the manager

The setup of the team today was so wrong, where been run from by amateurs from top to bottom. It's OFFICIAL

Manager screwed up today no doubt, picking an out of form and clearly unfit Allen is simply poor decision making, he's putting one of his favourites ahead of the team.

Despite this, apart from Brad Jones there have been some universally shit performances throughout the side irrespective of our tactics.

This has been in our DNA for several years now, every time we look like we're about to move in to challenge for a top four or five position we fall flat on our face. That's something that our manager hasn't created and is yet to successfully address.

Mediocrity would be a vast improvement on what I've seen from us today . A manager that doesn't follow the basic rules of picking his best players and making it diffcult for the opposition score goals against us isn't groundbreaking, talented, a brilliant tactition or the new fucking messiah .

Today has been a toal embarassment when so may armchair managers could see the blindingly obvious flaws in Rodgers selction something is wrong. It is hardly the first time

either. We may not be the best side in the league but we should be a fuck of lot better than we are . Oh and we should still be in the fucking FA cup. Another great job of team selection that day too.

Done with Skrtel now. 1.5 good seasons out of 5 is terrible for a club of our stature.

As for Joe Allen, I just hope FSG takes the decision out of Rodgers' hands and sells him behind his back.

Having paid £15m for Allen there is no way we'd accept a bid for what he's probably worth.

Even if FSG do fancy sharing a bag of Wotsits.

Thought we would surely improve in the second half and at least create some chances but never got anything going. Not many will come out of that with much credit but Johnson and Allen were particularly bad and Skrtel is taking the piss moaning about being on the bench and then coming back into the team with a performance like that.

If we're going to point fingers then Skrtel should be the one, involved in conceding all three. Allen was a mistake but the two goals conceded actually came from long balls that bypassed the midfield and we failed to deal with defensively. This should be our priority in the summer.

To be totally fair, none of us have enough fingers to point at who is totally to blame for today.

Shite all round, but the buck has to stop at the cunt who picked the side, as well as the cunts who picked the man who picked the side, as well as the side who went out without giving a shite for most of the game etc etc etc.

I blame Souness myself, he fucked us up ages ago.

Its starting look like rodgers does'nt have a clue. But it's ok cause the owners don't have a clue either. Great

Yep, our first loss after a string of impressive wins and it's now "starting" to look like he doesn't have a clue. I guess that's that then, sack him now. One loss after four wins in a row is just fucking unacceptable.

The players and manager should stop talking about the 4th place, if we're lucky we can finish top 7. It's not a good sign when players start talking about winning the last ten games. They should concentrate about winning the next game, not about the 4th place or a winning-streak.

generally we are improving?

in what sense are we improving you clown?

We're out of all cups, Europe, next season's Europe and we are challenging for 7th - 8th place.

Great. I can see the improvement.

Fecking disgrace. We were second to every ball, lost every 50-50, created zero space whilst they moved through us like sub-atomic particles in outer space, played pass and assume-catatonic-stance football and in general showed a complete lack of heart.

For 20 years we've made things too comfortable for players. With a few exceptions - Coutinho, Suarez, Jose - we were apathetically shite. That includes Stevie, who also needs a long rest.

As for Rodgers, he doesn't have a project, or a clue. Completely out thought and out managed.

Man City lost 3-1 there recently it's the premier league this shit happens.

Man City will comfortably qualify for the CL, and will be able to attract world class talent. We will struggle to qualify for the Europa, and so are unlikely to attract world class talent, and may struggle to hang on to what we have. It's a slippery slope. And as every point counts, people are going to be uptight when losing to a team struggling on the edge of the relegation zone.
