    The ‘Buy Nabil Fekir’ Campaign

That might be part of it but his dodgy knee with the cheap rebuild has put a lot of top clubs off. Shame as he's a quality player.

    Donald Trump

He's gone loco again, as you say, talk about thin skinned and fickle. This is the man we're pinning our hopes on for a generous trade deal.

Should the UK remain a member of the EU

Still clear as mud. Given that a GE election is possible later this year, what is Labour's position? Would they support remain or their own version of Brexit? If they won a GE would they put Labour's Brexit back to the country for a confirmatory referendum and if they did so which side would they support?

Bottled it, Neville's a shoe in for the men's team next time around.

Should the UK remain a member of the EU

BJ and the Brexiteer's are positioning themselves using GATT 24 as an excuse to blame the EU. Boris will present them with a single page trade agreement stating maintenance of existing zero % tariff's and then blame the EU for refusing their so called reasonable offer. The dishonesty on show from Johnson, Baker and the rest is astonishing. They know full well GATT 24 isn't applicable here.

    The New Cricket Thread

Just really stupid cricket from England as usual, they only seem to be able to play one way, hurl your bat at it and dig something out. No need for Bairstow to play that shot then.
  7. The best team generally don't lose 2-0 Jenas, unless it's Spurs obviously. The injustice of it all.
  8. Give that lad a new contract, has an amazing knack of scoring last minute goals.

Should Corbyn remain as Labour leader?

Is that a perk of Labour party membership? Just asking for a friend.

Man City - the new bitters?

Kompany ls leaving. I'm assuming it's because he'd like to move to someone who might win the champions league?

Man City - the new bitters?

It's a sign that they are genuinely worried that this might happen. Bear in mind the timing most likely it would be for the 2020/21 season. Would Pep want to stick around at that point?

    Other Football - 2018/19 Season

I think UEFA are shit scared of one of oil rich clubs taking this beyond arbitration and ending up in the European courts fighting against a restrictive practise, which it ultimately is.
  13. They're screwed, no clear strategy or structure in place, the vast funds they have are actually working against them as they pay inflated fees and salaries for 2nd tier players who can't be bothered given that their now on huge wages. Their best players will agitate for even bigger contracts or to leave. Ferguson is well on the way to emulating Busby post his reign. Their trapped by their own romance of the Ferguson era, endlessly seeking to replicate the past.

    Other Football - 2018/19 Season

Irrespective we've made serious progress this season, just add one or two genuine quality attacking options to fill out the bench like City have and there's no reason why we can't take another small step forward. A 4th attacking option to rotate our front three would be enough. Us and City are well ahead of the other top six sides, it wouldn't surprise me if we now end up with several seasons of competition between us and City like the mancs and Arsenal did in the nineties and early 2000's.

    Barcelona (A) Champions League 1/5/19

Keep posting that just in case Chelsea read it and reappoint him. I can't complain about us defensively this season given how many goals we've leaked previously. Just seems that we're not quite clinical enough in those 'moments' as Klopp puts it. I don't know if that's in the nature of the front three we go with and if we can improve?
  16. They've somehow managed to recruit a younger even less talented version of Moyes. Superb effort all round.

    Other Football - 2018/19 Season

I think that's how will it pan out, we need a 4th top tier attacking option to rotate given the number of games our front three play. It would also offer us a bit of variety. It wouldn't surprise me entirely if one of the Spanish clubs did try and poach Salah or Mane this summer but given Klopp's track record it wouldn't concern me unduly if someone came in and gave him another £100+ million to spend. It's been a great season irrespective of where we end up now, we're genuinely knocking on the door in both the premiership and CL. Let's just keep it going.
  18. Loving the mancs in the office. They're in full rebuild mode. Sell Rashford, Pogba and DDG for a combined £400 million or so. Sell another dozen or so players for around £250 million. Should be enough for a rebuild. I couldn't bring myself to ask the specifics of individual player values. I did enquire if they thought having a fire sale wouldn't impact on their values if the entire world knows you're looking to clear out your whole squad or for that matter whether they'd considered the wages most of these players are on? Equally the practicalities of selling/buying a dozen players and then attempting to integrate them into a system under a new inexperienced manager wasn't an issue apparently.

    Other Football - 2018/19 Season

All very true, irrespective of where we finish this season we're now very close to the required level however high that is. It's a very positive season however it plays out. If we handle the upcoming transfer window well and we should there's no reason why we're not at that level next season and for several seasons to come. I don't see anyone else in the next couple of seasons getting close to either us or City. Wishful thinking but I still think there might be a twist to unfold this season.
  20. So the solution to their decline is to bring in the former Molde and Hull manager's as manager and technical director. I can't see why this isn't going to work out for them?

    Cardiff (A) Premier League 21/4/19

Sorry but reading and listening to media, that was no more controversial than the one Lovren gave away. Soft yes, but still a penalty.
