Frank's not going to last long now is he? He'd have been better sticking with building a young English based side over several years narrative to mask his deficiencies. Now they've blown £200 million on purely attacking options he's screwed. I can't say I've been that impressed with Werner either, he'll score a fair few but I'm not sure how he would have fitted into our front three? Lots of energy but little thought. No reason for them to Havertz at all.

The mancs just don't look like a side that is coached in any way shape or form. I'm guessing it's a case of Ole giving some half-arsed inspirational speech wearing a paper mask of Ferguson and being instructed to go out and do it for Fergie? There's no real tactic beyond an early through ball for the front three to chase and a bit of individual skill.

Should the UK remain a member of the EU

Brexit has always been for the little people.
  4. I'm not so sure, Ole is doing a great job for the Glazer's, they know in the end the supporters will turn on him but in the meantime he's just happy to be there fobbing off the supporters and not putting any pressure on the board. The class of 92 are fully enabling Ole, the Glazer's don't give a shit about the fans opinions. If they really nosedive that might change but I suspect the pattern is set, unbeaten unconvincing runs followed by a routine series of defeats and repeat. Never challenging but usually finishing 3rd - 6th. Ole just offering enough to convince them the corner is about to be turned. If Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea got their act together they might eventually do something about it but they're almost as inconsistent. The reality is they're probably only a decent manager away from being a much better side. Not good enough to win but comfortably top four with an occasional half-hearted title challenge. Long may Ole continue.

So they've just renationalised the railways? Fecking socialists.
  6. £225 million spent in 18 months during Ole's reign but they haven't spent anything, apparently. Bunch of transfer junkies the lot of them always that one player away.

    Chelsea (A) 20/9/20 - Premier League

That's epic gaslighting from Frank there. If Chelsea had signed Mane it would have been 3-0 to them....including missed penalty.

Definitely right, I still think they're good enough to stay up but they won't be top half. Bielsa won't change at all even if they're 18th on the final day and need a point.

Entertaining stuff, when we're not playing and you want to watch another game.... Leeds are going to be good value as long you're not a fan of defending.

    Leeds (H) Premier League - 12/09/20 - 17:30

It's not great, still we are champions and I never thought I'd be able to say that again at the start of a new season. Personally I doubt we'll see any crowds back this season the way infections are rising again and as we head into winter. I suspect they'll experiment with low attendances next month and then the government will back off from the whole idea. 3-1 today.

    Coronavirus

This is classic Boris, the garden bridge, the bridge between NI and Scotland. In fact does 'Project Moonshot' include a bridge? No, that's not fair I'd forgotten about his international floating airport on the Thames. His solution to most difficult problems are massive, undeliverable and deeply unrealistic fantasy targets that in reality are a huge financial feeding frenzy for the usual suspects e.g. Boris's mates in the private government consultancy sector. I can sense truly impressive PowerPoint presentations being knocked together this evening. it's one of the many, many reasons why he's not fit for office. We'll be paying back the cost of this non-deliverable for generations to come.

    I wonder if they have a faux-Klopp?

Walker has always been a liability and Southgate has built a reputation largely upon a fortunate World Cup finals draw. Expecting the inevitable TAA injury now.

    Go fuck yourselves FSG

FSG would be delighted if we were consistent top 4 qualifying for the CL. Getting out of the group stages would be ideal as well. If they can continue to grow the brand and maintain that level with the minimum outlay possible I doubt their ambitions stretch much further. They've struck gold with Klopp at least for a few seasons.

    Boris Johnson

He won't be around for the next election. Personally I think he'll stick around long enough to ensure he's in the post longer than May and Brown before buggering off leaving a complete shit storm even compared to today behind him. I dread to think what comes next?

When are PSG going to put Neymar on? I've not heard his name during the 2nd half?

Pretty poor that, two teams packed full of cnuts, although PSG clearly edge it in that call. We'd have beaten either of them easily.

    Tory Cabinet Thread

It's amazing isn't it. She's a textbook definition of failing upwards. Being married to a Brexit supporting Tory MP has nothing to do with it obviously. If it's any consolation the current Tory governments jaw dropping incompetence will be their undoing in the long run.

    Other Football - 2019/20

Well that's punctured their new found optimism at least for a few days until the media build them back up. Next season is still their season? Long may Ole continue, he's woeful. First substitution despite chasing the game after 87 minutes wasn't it?

Williams rolling around on the ground again, wasting time when they're losing. Just loving it.

    Other Football - 2019/20

Ole has captured the essence of the Ferguson sides. They have two tactics, a quick, direct ball for the front three to chase and clearly instructing every player to hit the ground at the slightest hint of a challenge. They'll be frightening if they buy Grealish, a player who has built his entire career around cheating the ref into giving a foul in his favour.

Man City - the new bitters?

Clearly a conspiracy. Fixed by UEFA as revenge for the CL ban ruling.
