What a whacky old interview that was. At times, he was complete incoherent about who was to blame, the refs, or the players? the only clear thing was that it's not him. He's taking full responsibility for finger pointing.

A team low on confidence? well yes Jose, it clearly is, they don't become crap players overnight, but that's your job - to motivate them.

The thing is Jose, you're not really that special. Sooner or later, those Chelsea lads were going to work you out.

'Cept he took Porto to a champions league win and they had fuck all money.

Got to laugh at some of the comments. If he won us just one premier league title then pissed off you'd all be jizzing in yer kecks.

Aren't Porto the biggest and richest of Portuguese clubs though?

If he had come here before he joined Chelsea we Prob would have loved him. But like Rafa today he would have divided the fan base eventually when he hit his inevitable wall.

And if he came here now, yeah of course we'd love it if he won the title but after all that's gone on Id still think he was a grade one dickhead. I don't think any (many) of us would love him particularly.

Mate, talking down winning the Champions League is silly.

I'm not talking it down, it was a fantastic achievement and to me still his greatest to date. Just adding a bit of context in saying Monaco also had a great season that year and imo who had a slightly tougher knock out route. Monaco had Lokomotiv Moscow, Real Madrid and Chelsea. While Porto did Manchester United, Olympique Lyonnais and Deportivo La Coruña.

But like I say also it would be harder to do with a team like Porto now as the power is even more concentrated. Hell the next year we came out of nowhere to win it.

sky reporting dick apple cart has left sunderland

could be an opportunity for Brendan there

Seems to be the Sunderland way. Be shit, sack manager after 10-odd games, hire new manager to keep them up, spend big money in the summer, be shit, sack manager after 10-odd games...
