Was watching *hipster alert* Der Klassiker earlier and Bayern absolutely dry-bummed Dortmund 5-1. It could have been even more as Dortmund were so open at the back. The coach Tuchel got it badly wrong defensively. First of all, his goalkeeper Burki was shitting himself any time the ball went near him. Secondly, he was playing a centre back (Papastathopoulos) at right back, a defensive midfielder (Bender) at centre back, and a right back (Piszczek) at left back. The current Bayern are one of those sides who are so strong that you have to play people in their best positions when facing them. Thirdly, he didn't set them up to play compact so the distance between the defence and the most forward player (Aubameyang) was almost half the pitch. Lastly, what the hell has happened to Kagawa? He looked so sharp in his first Dortmund spell and seemed to do OK in his first year at United. He was utterly hopeless in this one -  a total passenger.

Aye. Since Real have gone a goal up they've sat deep and Atletico just aren't particularly good at breaking down teams that defend like this, and as well.

Bale and Martinez on to hopefully freshen up the game.

Hopefully. Pretty dull stuff compared to recent history between the two sides.

Chelsea have got about 40 million players out on loan yet are still signing a new goalkeeper (33 year old Italian Marco Amelia) to back up Begovic while Courtois recovers from injury. They also have a young goalkeeper on the bench who never gets picked, even though he's won everything at youth and reserve level.
