If your asked your friends to form a shield around you for your protection they would probably say fuck off I don't exist for your benefit. Anyway there would be no story if every what if was written instead. "Why didn't the eagles take the ring to mordor" what a shit book that would of been besides the eye of sauron would of seen them. And so on and so forth.

My mate watched this and he said it was brilliant.

But he made an observation about it and I think it is a good one' date=' if Gandalf can talk to the eagles and make them do what he wants, why didn't he ask them to form some kind of eagle shield around him and then he would have been nearly invincible.[/quote']

The better observation is if he has giant fucking eagles at his disposal why is he walking to the dwarf caves and why did he make frodo walk all the way to mordor.

I just remembered another face scrunching moment today - that wizard who used the bunnies to pull his sleigh. What was his story?

I believe that's not in the book, Jackson should be slapped for that bit. Although the bird shit in his hair was funny.

Because if Frodo would of used a eagle to take him to Mordor the eye would sense the ring with ease.

So would the Nazgul and the eagles would be turned into Kebabs.

Watched it today, thought it started very slow and the songs were a bit shite.

It actually started so slow I feared my mate who did not know what movie we were going to would fall asleep.

Overall I enjoyed it and I look forward to the next two, just a shame we have to wait a year for the next one.

Had the day off today so went to see it this afto. Top fucking class as expected. A LOT of content in this part and really well done. No doubt there'll be people whinging about Legolas and some other bits but the sooner people get their heads around the fact that artistic license is beneficial to the story in big screen format the better. Jackson knows what he's doing and I'm fucking delighted with The Hobbit so far.

I hope you chaps all enjoy it as much as I did.

I can't be doing with crowded theatres, so I'm hanging off a couple of weeks before going, but I'm still really looking forward to it. I did think the first one suffered a little bit on pacing with some unnecessary padding to fill it out, but otherwise enjoyed it a lot. There's more than enough story slated for this one that I'm not worried about filler, and am expecting a boss film.

I went to The Odeon today at lunchtime, there were about 10 people in there. Same last year, best time to see a film, early afto in the week.
