Despite the shite timing of it all, I'm more disappointed than angry at the moment.  If he kicks up the Sterling-approach as a result of this, that'll change. The reported structure of that deal is derisory and anyone should see that.  If they don't want to place a serious bid, they don't want him all that much and he'd be better of proving he's worth it for another season.

The arrogance of Barca absolutely stinks, always hated them. Yes, you should feel blessed by our attempts to unsettle and take your best player. How dare you reject an offer thats about 50% add ons. Should be grateful that we even tried. You even ruined the unveiling ceremony we set up for him despite not even being in negotiations.

We or rather they have just spent £45m on salah and robertson and had a bid of £66m for keita turned down, would likely have bid £50m+ if the van dijk deal hadnt gone tits up. Its a bit tiresome to go on about the club not spending.

They have also spent on a new pitch and scoreboard.

 

I don't actually know what was wrong with the old one tbf.
