United are now looking great. The policy of using the window to sign at least one proven player who will improve the first team, is now paying dividends. Conversely the chickens have come home to roost with our policy of signing shite.

He seems to be the one fans talk up all time but the paper and the club seem less keen....

Didn't he get another knock recently?

Yep! Which seems to be his lot the past couple of years - Kent has surpassed him already, and you'd assume Woodburn is ahead as well.

I think he'll be off at the end of the year.

Struggling to remember the last time we had a centre-mid, defensive mid or a centre half come through! Don't think I can ever remember a centre-half even making a first team appearance.

And yet you constantly defend the same fuck wads who are responsible for this reprehensible fact. We have no one coming through and not enough coming into the first team. Doesn't take a fortune teller to see the near future does it?

They are looking good, but they haven't exactly had a real test yet. They'll finish top 4 though for sure.

I'm going back over 30 years mate. Gerrard and Carragher that's it.

We have more coming into the first team than we have since 99', so, i'd have to say they are doing a fantastic job with the youth system. And fully deserve the highest praise possible for finally righting the wrongs of the previous 30 years.

Ex-fucking-zactly!

Banish him to ressies and on loan for a year...have him training on his own and expect a big offer! Yeah ok.

We'll be lucky to get 15m the way we have treated him.

Like Virgyl Van Dyke?

For the record - he's been a bit of a twat for a while. He's just got a manage who won't put up with it now.

Zero sympathy for him.

Another angle might be let's imagine Klopp put Sakho in the team to put him in the shop window. And let's say he did alright. And then let's imagine Klopp asks for the money - a LOT of money - for VVD. Arguably we don't look as short in the middle so the desire to really extend ourselves to land VVD is diminished on the part of the owners? Just speculating, but apart from the fall out, there might be other reasons why Klopp doesn't really want to play Sakho.

VVD's and Sakho's situations are not at all similar, mate - and to be fair you know that...

When John Lennon wrote imagine, it was about ending war and creating a better world, but not even he could have stretched the theme as ambitiously as you've just done.

You may say Lovren will eliminate defensive screamers, but you'll be the only one.

Liverpool have no intention of going back in for Julian Draxler as that isn’t an area Klopp is looking to strengthen. (James Pearce)

Makes sense. Just waiting for Ryan Kent to be sent out on loan now because it's not like we have four competitions to compete in. After all, of we're ever in a pickle, we can play Origi out wide and watch him do the square root of fuck all.

Think the jobs Migs.

Not like Ward got much of a outing in preseason either.

Hmm - he was injured wasn't he?

Klopp seems to display Roy Evans level loyalty for some players. I'd love it if Ward came in and stayed in. He's better than Karius though - so should be a starter in the Europa League.

Our inability to close deals is massively disappointing. How on earth have we already played 2 games without our top target? He must be getting annoyed with it as well and if we don’t sign anyone at the back by the end of the window then we will be lucky to finish in the top 6. The midfield is as worrying as the defence as well. We are going to get completely overrun especially by the top half teams. I can see someone like Shelvey doing serious damage let alone Matic/Pogba/Kante/Ali etc.
