While enjoying this thoroughly entertaining England vs San Marino it struck me that perhaps we were a little hasty in getting shut of Hodgeson. Given a couple of full seasons to impose his methods and the benefit of a few more transfer windows he might well have attracted more marquee signings of the calibre of Poulsen and Konchesky who knows, we could be dining at the top table just now?

Wasn't the nickname God in direct response to Cantona being called King? Fully justified IMO.

 

My mate shouts 'Fowler!' all the time when something good or exciting happens, such as finding out Monday is a Bank Holiday, or he's won a tenner on the Lottery.

 

Everyone should be made to do that, when Obama is giving speeches he should do it: "Moments ago, under my direction, special force of the United States' Seal Team 6 killed Osama Bin Laden, Fowler."
