Luis Suarez

Kenny will sell this club enough to Suarez to make him want to come.

If he doesn't want to come, he's not the right player.

Who doesn't dream of playing in the Red of Liverpool and scoring in front the Kop, but dreams of playing in the White of Spurs and playing at White Hart Lane?

If we can send out Jovanovic and Babel to bring in Suarez and Young it should send a very positive signal of our intensions under Henry and Comolli.

I'm not convinced about Warnock, but I'd rather have him than Konchesky. It just doesn't make much sense unless we actually are able to selle or loan out Konchesky. I'd still say we need a better left back come summer, but depending on other deals we can wait with this a bit.

A central defender and a defensive midfielder should be next on the list. We can easily do with 5-6 new quality players, but can we get 2 of these now I'd think it's a much easier job getting the rest in the summer.

This should also be a very positive signal of our intensions to our current star players and help us finish the season on a high.

For all our troubles in the league I can't help thinking that we'll win the EL in Dublin.

Also, people talk about temporary managers but there's obviously a much greater chance Dalglish will still be here than there is Redknapp at Spurs 17 months down the line. He's gone at the end of next season for definite.

What? Dalglish doesn't even have a deal beyond summer, was ignored first time round, and FSG were known to be reluctant to employ him as a care-taker for the very reason that they want a new, younger manager in place.

So bad point, poorly made.

What is the obsession with a new younger manager. Surely it should be the best person for the job regardless. I think if Kenny does really well and he's replaced by someone inferior just because of his age, its mental.

Now Kenny is here I dont think I want him to leave.... Ever.

Redknapp is definitely gone after Euro 2012. Dalglish, on the other hand, isn't necessarily. I think that the way the players have instantly changed from dour depressives to having a spring in their step combined with the fan reaction (and not to mention the amount of merchandise Kenny's face will sell) makes it a distinct possibility that he'll remain. His promotion and use of young players won't hurt, either.

Bar a Mourinho-esque appointment it's going to be very hard to replace Kenny this summer unless we have an absolutely disastrous end to the season. A drab figure like Deschamps is never going to be accepted unless he has us challenging for the title in his first 10-15 games, not now.

Exactly. And a player looking for immediate success may think Spurs offer a much better chance then we do.

Certainly the idea that a player will laugh off Spurs once we come calling is nothing short of arrogant and is just looking at things through rose tinted glasses.

If looking at the full picture is 'looking through rose-tinted glasses', then count me in. If looking only at the few negative things, most of which are firmly in the past, is balanced or realistic then you can count me out.

You're right, in my opinion, to say that it could happen. Of course, it could. What I'm saying is that if they've got such a warped view of things, only have a five minute memory and are not up to the job of playing for one of the worlds most gloried clubs, then they can fuck off anyway. If they'd make that choice, they're not for us. We can't lose.

It may not seem it at the moment but as a club i think we are going to start heading the right way and players coming in will be made sure to be aware of this.

The youngsters coming through are of a high standard plus we still have some world class players at the club in Reina, Gerrard and Torres.

I feel this way about Babel's desire to leave for Ajax. It displays a startling lack of ambition and shows why we should never have signed the cunt.

What a goal that would have been.

Agreed, that would've been insane. It's not as if he took his time and lined it up carefully either, he's just smashed it and almost scored a perfect top corner at the same time. That keeper ruined something that would've been seriously epic there, the nob.
