An injury on Trent and two CBs out (very likely as they are all made of crackers) and we're down to 3 CBs starting (2 in the middle + Gomez as RB) and none on the bench. A problem.

Agreed, they've known about this for ages and have had all summer to identify someone and bring them in. Echoes of 2020/21 again with Klopp stating we need to be lucky.

Not sure what's been going on with our recruitment? After the first couple of transfers which involved triggering release clauses rather than any negotiation we saw weeks of inactivity followed by a very public pursuit of two midfielders neither of which decided to join us.

Great another midfielder then while we go into this week's game with our starting CBs both out. So one injury to anyone other than Robertson and either Robbo/Endo goes to CB or if Trent gets injured fuck knows.

My one concern about the midfield is that they're all very good, smart, technical players but to a man you can end any sentence praising them with 'Would be really good alongside a player like Fabinho".

Whether Endo is that player to tie it all together remains to be seen.

Fair point td.

Gravenberch is an all rounder who can play a variety of roles including the 6. I think he has played that role for Ajax. Maybe, that's the plan here.

In fairness, peak Fabinho was world class, so unfair to say if he will be that good, but I am seriously excited about this signing.

Ali and Queeve go down then we're down to Adrian.

Good window overall. A quality defender would have been great but we’re never going to tick every box the way we operate financially.

Is it fuck.  We’re massively short at the back.

A quality defender and a right back was a must.
