Needs a champions league medal to complete his set of top honours, so he's putting in the extra graft.

 

Need experienced players like him knocking about around Melwood and on the pitch.

Even when Gerrard was undisputed captain we had other leaders on the pitch in Carragher and hyypia etc, likewise with Henderson, Milner, Virgil it's important to have players like that.
