Milner will be in the team for the final.  And he will be one of the best players on the day.  I'm hoping our best player is one of our attackers after scoring a hat trick, but you just know Milner will be the force in that midfield, attacking and defending.  He's a winner.

No, but he stood up to be counted. Two more of him in midfield would have been a massive improvement

Doubt it to be honest. Workrate and commitment are things which always get talked about when players have no real ability, it's like when people call fat birds bubbly.

Unfair. But even so, when the other two offer nothing, then surely it has to be an improvement?

I'd keep him until he retires and offer him a coaching role. Class act.

Not saying Milner isn't a great lad or a top footballer but just handing coaching roles to ex players is why English coaches are generally so shite. I mean, who'd have given a job to a washed up ex Mainz footballer from a small town in the Black Forest?

James Milner is an absolute machine. Beat everyone in the lactate threshold test today at Melwood. Naby dropped out with one more level to go. Lallana and Milner last two standing. Milner the only man left running laps at 24KMH. Tank.
