Gary Mabbutt/Pallister

(Kenny was after both to replace Hansen but couldnt get them and they would have helped us stop the rot back in the early 90's and beyond.)

Michael Laudrup

Shearer

Gary Mabbutt! That made me chortle, nice one Vlad.

Hmm... Thuram, Maldini, Baresi... nah Mabbutt.

Zanetti

Rivaldo

Ronaldo (the real one)

Great shout.

I would have Maldini in defense but Zanetti is also a fine choice. You can't go wrong with Rivaldo in attack, and Ronaldo for me is the easiest pick of the bunch. Would have loved to see him destroying teams for us in the 90's.

I'm going to pick 3 players who we were in for but didn't get.

Michael Ladrup. He would have been amazing in the 80's teams.

Gary Pallister. Signing Hysen instead of him tipped the balance of power that started United on their run and we were weak in the middle of the defence from 1990 onwards. I think it was a pivotal moment.

Cristanio Ronaldo.

Mabbutt was an excellent defender and was hours away from being a Liverpool player. Hes no Maldini but he was exactly the type of player, Pallister also, who we needed when Hansen retired and had to rely on Glenn Hysen.

Zanetti is still playing so he's excluded, cracking player all the same.

Thuram

Keane

Shearer

All if but's and maybe's but if Kenny is given the job back as he should have been a few months after his departure then we sign both Keane and Shearer and probably now have 24 or 25 league titles.
