    Messi

Maradona got 5 goals in 1986, and got better and more dominant as the tournament progressed. Messi started well in 2014 but was a nervous wreck by the end of it and probably shouldn't have won that golden ball. I also don't buy that Messi has had poor teammates. Aguero, Di Maria, Higuain, Mascherano, Zabaltea, Tevez, Dybala off the top of my head over the years. But probably would say that he has poor managers internationally, Diego chief among them. I think there is no question that the pressure of world cups gets to him.

    Sterling / Gomez - 'clash'

Only thing for it now is to increase the booing to up to 11 for the next visit.

    Barcelona (A) Champions League 1/5/19

Why didn't we go gung ho playing a crocked out Utd? If ever there was a team waiting to be smashed that was it. Last night seemed like the wrong time to go kamikaze , it could have ended up 5 nil. Barca aren't all that, and I still think there is a kick left in this tie.

    Virgil Van Dijk

So he's added goals now. My word.

    This Man City FFP stuff

They are doping. We are hitting a near perfection league run and still likely to lose to a team that have a half empty ground and fake sponsorship deals. Throw them out.

    Other Football - 2018/19 Season

All this VAR is doing is giving these incompetent refs a second chance to fuck up. It was the same in the league cup very Chelsea. These cunts literally cannot interpret the laws of the game

    Everton 0 Liverpool 0 (March 3 2019)

I keep seeing posts like this but we are the ones looking leggy and nervous with our game per week.

    Everton (A) 3/3/19

Every sub weakened the team. Matip spreads panic at the back. Hendo is a shithouse.

    West Ham (A) 4/2/19 - Match Thread

That thought has crossed my mind a lot over the last few days. Its ok, it should have been 7 but we're 5 points clear, its ok we're still 3 points clear, its ok we've still got a game in hand. Reminds me a lot of that year with Rafa.

Right back position is killing us.

    West Ham (A) 4/2/19 - Match Thread

We aren't winning this league. Players are nervous wrecks. Squad depth killing us now.

    West Ham (A) 4/2/19 - Match Thread

Can't see us getting 3 points here. Woeful so far. Players need to come out raring.

I'm basically getting no enjoyment from the league at this point Shitting myself, relief/disappointment, shitting myself, relief/disappointment, repeat

First time this season that it looked like the pressure got to them. Atkinson is bent.

    Top Ten Overrated players

Paul Scholes, who his fellow pros put on the PFA team of the year twice in a 20 year career. A good player, and arguably the third best English attacking central midfielder of his generation.

    Naby Keita

It might seem obvious but I think Klopp needs to tell him to play the whistle. He has been caught two or three times stopping waiting for the foul which didn't come. So far he has gotten away with it but between that and getting pushed off the ball I don't think Klopp will trust him to get up to the pace and physicality of the league this year.

    Virgil Van Dijk

If we win the league I think you can make a case for him being the best signing in the clubs history.
  20. KevieG

    Fabinho

He's looking like a very very good player. And will cover 3 positions into the bargain.

    Dejan Lovren

Twice in the first half Lovren had players in his sights, then lost them, didn't know where they were, before they reappeared with the ball/in a more dangerours position. It was mental. It just screamed of someone playing at a level that was too high for them. There is no doubt that right side is weak defensively.

    Man City (a) 3/1/2019

Lovren had one of his mental breakdowns there. Need Gomez back. Hendo reverted to type. Conservative and weak. Fabinho made a big difference. Needs to be a starter now. We are still in this.
