The thought of them sliding further and further down the pan, only to somehow blag a £25m, 6’4, mobile centre forward with a bit of charisma, reeks of the chance of hope that I just can’t be arsed with - if they went now with the stadium and FFP and everything, they really could be badly damaged for a very long time.
