By the way, both of these referees were a total disgrace to the game.

 

Lee Mason was an abomination in Liverpool's 2013/14 defeat to Man City.

 

Howard Webb was a total disgrace and a fraudulent coward in Liverpool's loss to Chelsea a week later.  And doubled down a few weeks after that at Arsenal.

 

Any one of these games reffed by a basically competent ref and the Gerrard slip is an irrelevance.
