I thought Achterberg was here under Rafa. He wasnt really. Promoted to first team coach in 2011. So i guess it was Kenny who promoted him. Guess it ties in with Reinas decline here. However we have only had Mignolet since then and he wasnt any good to begin with.

I hate Warnock, but you can’t get away from the fact he’s a fucking good Manager. I heard an interview recently when he was asked about Cardiff getting promoted, he played it down and said if they did get promoted he’d have to sit down and have a chat with the Chairman as he doesn’t like managing in the Premier League and everything that comes with it. Admittedly, he probably knows his level but was quite refreshing to hear. He’s a cunt but he’s got my respect.

Rafa Benitez has responded to a vociferous attack from former Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock, who fumed: "I hope Liverpool never win another trophy under him."

 

Warnock still holds the Spaniard partly to blame for the Yorkshire club's relegation last season. Liverpool fielded a weakened team in the build-up to a Champions League Final last May and lost to Sheffield United's relegation rivals Fulham.
