I don't think he is. He wants to get more of his stuff made.

He needs Netflix to buy the rights to Mr. Inbetween, get the show loads of views and then give him a deal to make other shows.

Mr. Netflix, I hope you're reading this you mingebag cunt.

I agree mate. He definitely deserves a bit more fame and fortune. Far less talented people than him have been handed plenty of both. You have to admire the sheer stubbornness of the bloke as well. He knew he was perfect for the role and wouldn’t budge on letting someone else do it, to the detriment of lining his own pockets. Very interested to see what he settles on doing next.

Fucking hell what a show. I've watched it all 3 times over. I put on a season like I'd put on a movie. And STILL can't get my other half or any mates to watch it. And am baffled. They're missing out. This show has everything.

I think, on balance, it might be my favourite show of all time. Absolutely definitely top 3 and I can't think of anything I've found as funny, exciting and charming all at once.

Also, his missus was a dick for chucking him for chinning her brother. Who the fuck steals a kids present cos it's "kitch" or whatever. "Instant cunt identifier" material, that boy.

Chinning her brother = chucking him through a plate glass patio window on Christmas Day

What I liked about the show is that physically he wasn't very intimidating but what he did have was fearlessness and the ability to take things as far as they needed to go; if you beat him up he'll come back with a knife, if you stab him he'll come back with a gun and if you shoot him you'd better make sure he's dead.

It's not the dog in the fight, it's the fight in the dog and Ray Shoesmith is one very scary dog.

The episode where he sets out to kill Ray is immense. The best on screen bromance ever.

Just watched all 3 seasons. Utterly brilliant and can't believe there's no 4th series planned.

It wasn't "cancelled", from what I've read, Scott Ryan had the idea for this show 20 years ago and was trying to get it made on and off for a long time, so the character isn't exactly fresh to him anymore and he wants to move on to other things.

If his love isn't there for the character, I'd rather they left the show where it is, rather than churn out more half-arsed.

The show is a masterpiece.

For anyone who hasn’t seen it yet through various other means, Ray is on Disney+.

Great for Scott Ryan.

Fucking brilliant, didn't realise it was on Disney- I got a free sub to it via my son's phone contract just before the Beatles' documentary. Ace, now I can rewatch it without pissing around with dodgy streams.
