No club is going to sign them unless there is clarity.

Well klopp implied something along those lines, during a press conference he kept getting asked if he was going to buy a new CB and he got annoyed saying there aren't 5 better players out there than what we have already.

Lovren is actually decent, when not brainfarting all over the place. It just happens to often and costs points during the season. If we're to challenge city we need at least one more defender, as the gap to the third choice is to big. Lovren could do as third choice and maybe being in that position could push him on a bit.

Personally I think VVD, Lovren, Matip and Klavan is enough, the problem is that Matip can’t seem to stay fit so I’d look at signing a reliable back up and getting shot of him. I’d be more than happy going into the new season with a VVD-Lovren pairing.

The Echo are quite weird about Henderson and Lovren, aren't they?

 

Even when Lovren was absolutely shocking in 2016 they were still writing articles about how "he's quality, just going through a bad patch" or whatever. I'm guessing it's because he gives them interviews all the time and someone there quite likes him personally or something.
