Tempted to start the Tranmere match thread now. Im saying 1-0 Ings

Anyway some links to Camacho today. Makes sense a bit of steel in the modfield. Issue is injury history.

Klopp has apparently said we have far too many players so expecting a cull soon.

Talk of Balotelli just getting the boot and his contract removed/paid

Mane didn't beat a player and was not good in tight spaces, his pace got him in behind on the counter but teams don't give us that kind of space in the prem and we saw examples of how inconsistent his finishing is.

Karius looked better on the ball than Mignolet and in 45 minutes we could see the youngster Ejaria has the potential to be a top prem player atleast.Maybe we should put whoevers in charge of recruitment for the youth teams in charge of the recruitment for the first team seeing as our best players seem to be coming from the youth team.

Interesting

Style of play

He has been nicknamed "Yaya Talisca" in reference to Ivorian midfielder Yaya Touré, but bases his game on that of his compatriot Neymar.[15] He is also compared to fellow Brazilian Rivaldo.

These Portuguese papers (O Bola and O Jogo or whatever they're called) know fuck all though. They seem desperate for us to sign a Portuguese player. That's all of Ruben Neves, Rafa Silva, Brahimi, Joao Mario and Talisca being linked to us this summer, with little indication that there were ever anything in these.

Liverpool apply for UK work permit for Benfica's Anderson Talisca according to reports in Portugal. The 22 year old striker is reckoned to be one of Brasil's brightest prospects.

Another "one of ( enter country of choice ) brightest prospects who have come here and end up pissing off after 4 years in the reserves, just buy someone to go in the first team it's not hard.

I've also heard he has a hint of Maradona and Pele about him, and that defensively he's the new Maldini.

I was reading about Talisca the other day, apparently he's shite and lazy

He's not shite, he might be a bit lazy but he's definitely talented, last year when everyone was going on about him I watched a few Benfica games on BT and he looked a class act but looked tired in the second half, so I'm not sure if he's lazy or just got stamina issues. Technically he's a good player though.

Reports Christian Benteke is in London ahead of a proposed move to Crystal Palace. #lfc

Liverpool could move on as many as 15 first team players this summer. #lfc (Neil Jones - Echo)

Benteke, Ibe, Skrtel, Canos, Alberto, Allen, Markovic, Wisdom, Balotelli, Ilori + those already gone could give Liverpool 100m. (Echo)

I went to watch Benfica in 2014 and he had just broken into the first team. He scored a really good goal as they beat Arouca 4-0. He looked good on the ball and powerful, could win most headers because of his height. Thought he would really go on to be a star and probably end up at Chelsea for about 35m. Not sure what happened to him since then but he's defo not shite and nowhere near as lazy as Balotelli.

Talisca is an amazing talent and he's unique in the sense that he can play any position from central midfield to #9. But like Red House said, we've been linked to Portuguese League players all summer and none of them have had a shred of truth to them so I doubt our interest is real.
