Dejan Lovren

I don't think Lovren has been as bad as has been suggested on here. Put any 2 of Skrtel, Sakho and Lovren as Chelsea's back 2 or behind Barry & McCarthy in Everton's back 4 & they would look very good, but conversely put the likes of Kompany behind the Fred Karno's Circus we have had for a year & they would look shite.

I said on a different thread that we need to think hard about our shape now we don't have Luis as we can't keep playing 'next goal wins' type football.

Not his biggest fan but if you are playing in front of Mignolet and behind Gerrard & Lucas you're fucked even if you're Baresi.

Yep. I said the same on the Sakho thread. It's not fair or objective to just start slaughtering the back four. We're not defending as a unit, and Mingolet wouldn't instill confidence in any back four at the moment.

mignolet pulled off a great save late in the first half to keep it at 2-1 so I ll give him that much credit. the goals we re conceding come from a series on consecutive errors from several players.

in short we still cant defend as a team but its magnified by the fact we re not scoring enough to win games regardless.

I know it's a small point, but when he was rolling around after the clash of heads, it reminded me of a soft striker rather than an uncompromising defender.  I like to see them shake their heads and attempt to play on.

He's not our biggest problem, that is a collective issue.

Was at the game & don't remember him being as bad as everybody else is saying he was. I will have to watch it again on LFCTV. I think he needs to calm down a bit & stop trying to prove how good he is trying to get in front of his striker & being caught out regularly.

Comforting watching Tommo on Sky, and finding out Mangala is shite now & he only cost £32m
