Watching it on tv, the atmosphere seems weird. Loud, but not much singing. Kind of nervy. If anyone is there, is it like that?

Doesn’t feel nervy. Definitely flatter at half time that’s it should be after that pen miss. Felt inevitable, especially after  it looked like Mac was taking it.

been a great performance and atmosphere is “decent”. Not helped one bit by fucking Var interrupting goal celebrations.

Salah’s missed more than an acceptable number too.

Should be Jota or Mac Allister.

That's the first Nunez has missed (just checked). Now taken 13, missed one. So, he's much better at penalties than Salah.

Jota has only ever taken one, which he scored.

Jota would just refuse to miss.

We have become a really nervous crowd - been burned so much in recent years and of course even the title win we never got to really celebrate it and properly exorcise the demons....

It still feels to me like we need to win a title in front of the fans and have the release it will bring to 'fix' the nerves - we want it too badly and even when we had it virtually won and it was just a formallity to finish it, it was nearly or was at least threatened to be taken away from us and we had to wait anxiously for months, and then of course still never got the proper release....I felt prior to the games stopping for covid that we had turned a corner as a crowd with the nerves - everyone was ready to experience what we all craved, knew it was coming and was ready for it and was celebrating it and was ready to celebrate it week after week.

It hasn't been same since and of course we suffered heartbreak again after it all didn't we, which has only added to the nervousness.

Loads of options. Should be the best man for it, not just about - hopefully -padding Salah’s goals total.

Bradley's awareness when still in his own half with Sterling right beside him, to get those few yards on him was brilliant. Then his strength in running with the ball, and his composure to finish so coolly like that was extraordinary.

A goal and assist on his full home debut, to follow an incredible month or so, of very mature performances, shows he is an absolute star in the making.

Our best first half of the season by a country mile that.

Everyone has been very good to excellent. Even the bald official from the Greater Manchester region has been decent.

But, I’m a bit annoyed by that Nunez penalty miss. That’s game over if he scores. And, he’s done the keeper. Properly sent him the wrong way. Having done that, does he then need to be so precise with the penalty, going right for the side netting, and does he need to hit it with such power? Just pass it into the empty net you created by mugging off the keeper.

A minor gripe though. We’ll get more in the second half.
