Martin Braithwaite joining Barcelona. The signing is dodgy as fuck, as La Liga allowed Barcelona to sign a player outside their own transfer window, just because Dembele was injured. Braithwaite's club Leganes had to let him go as his buy-out clause was met, but they were refused the opportunity to sign a replacement and ended up getting relegated.

That Stelios Greek player told a good story about him wanting to leave Bolton and he was probably coming to us under Rafa as Rafa was ready to sign him. So Allardyce sat with him in his office,asked how much he wanted and five minutes later he'd got it and stayed there. 

This probably shows why Bolton are now struggling in the old third division.

He was in the last year of his contract, it was either sell him to City or the mancs or get nothing for him. 
 

Arsenal were in decline by that point. 
 

Newcastle selling the mancs Andy Cole was a bigger shock.
