Our problem is we are lining up the same way we did at our peak with a different set of players who are not as effective at lining up as we do.

We don't have a Henderson/Gini axis ala 2020 doing what they did so well....winning 2nd balls etc and getting ball onto Mane/Salah in space.

We don't have a Firmino leading the press from front and linking play.

Our full backs are not covered as well as they were - they are not as progressive as were.

We either have to get the right key parts in to make this system work better again or tweak system to better suit what we do have now and what they are best at.

It won’t happen, but Firmino or Jota on for Salah might be the wake up call he needs.

Can't risk jota. Bobby will only try drop into the non existent space in front of their back 4 and then end up next to fabihno. We need to sit off a bit, and try use the space that'll leave us.  We're not good enough currently to break teams down. Bobby is on now for carvalho

We've not invested in midfield which was needed badly and Sold imo our best player last season.

There is a massive drop off from Mane to Nunez and the midfield we have played this season has been atrocious due to injuries.

Plus Salah has been coasting since Jan.

Yes there is, but Nunez compared to Mane when he first came isn't much difference Nunez will get there he's only 22 or 23 he will be a handful when he settles in.

Agreed on the form but players don't magically become shit after a few games.

Nunez has looked a bit clumsy, trent keeps lumping lazy low balls to his feet which just get hoofed out.

I notice when our intensity drops its also lack of movement when we have the ball as well as being too slow to 2nd balls.

Need to be first to every loose ball and players need to keep moving so there's always a spare man to get the ball to.
