Things haven't really worked first half with that team selection. Need to see more centrally maybe change Carvalho and Nunez.

Poor half from us, slightly better towards the end but not much.

 

Our press doesnt work, we never win it back high up the field. Better when we manage to get in behind them, and Nunez looks a threat.

 

Main worry is Salah who is invisible most of the time, and gives it away the few times he manages to get involved.

I wouldn't've started with Carvalho and Nunez to be honest.  I thought Gomez has been okay, but in this type of game we're missing Matip bringing the ball out from the back.

I can understand Carvalho he's needs to be rewarded for his contributions the last two games.  I thought Firmino was guaranteed to start though with Nunez coming off thebench.

We've not invested in midfield which was needed badly and Sold imo our best player last season. 

 

There is a massive drop off from Mane to Nunez and the midfield we have played this season has been atrocious due to injuries. 

 

Plus Salah has been coasting since Jan.

I'd like to see the entire team 10 yards deeper with more space between the midfield and the forwards. 3 of the fastest players in the league and there's no through ball option because every fucker wants to be on the edge of the box. Congesting the pitch hurts us way more than the opposition.
