It wasn't all on Macca. But, rumours grow and all of a sudden boss players for us get slagged off as if they aren't part of the clubs history.

Call Diouf a cunt, every second of everyday absolutely but fucking hell. Steve McManaman and Jamie Carragher? Local lads who gave this club some amazing moments and large parts of their lives. Doesn't sit right with me people calling them cunts.

Yeah it's crackers.

Carragher and Mcmanaman are fucking stupid. They were once very good at their jobs and now are not. That's pretty much it.

I hate it when McManaman declares, 'It's fine by me' when a foul goes unpunished. One of their players grabbed one of ours by the throat and he says, 'Fine by me'. That's irrelevant as well as stupid. It's a foul, idiot.

I don't understand the logic of using ex-reds for our games when they act like this. Neutrals don't want to listen to them - they just assume they're biased and it irritates them. We don't want to listen to them, because at best they overcompensate and wind us up. They alienate everyone.

Really chuffed with that. At half time I was confident in the magic team talk. We settled quickly after 1/2 time w/o losing the intensity. Got the luck, and quickly followed with the 2nd as they lost coherence.

We can’t be complacent, and I don’t want us going over there defending a two goal lead, if you know what I mean. I want Klopp to in-still in the team an attitude of ‘its nil nil.”
Serve up the same helping again please gentlemen, and we’re off to PARIS.

Eiffel one will be very happy. Hahaha see what I did there?

Liverpool at 2-0 at home in a CL semi > Man City at 2-0 at home in a CL semi.

It's all about levels.

Barcelona used him as a pawn to get Deportivo to buckle and sell them Rivaldo.

Ok mate.

Seriously. Obviously pro-City last night he was pro-Villareal tonight. Despite the fact his greatest successes were achieved at Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Neville's pro-United bias is perfectly understandable and tolerable. McManaman just comes across as an ungrateful cunt.

Not for me it ain't. Let them do what they like in a studio, but leave the bias out of commentaries. Who wants it? If they could get, say, Dennis Wise or John Terry to commentate on Chelski games, would neutrals be able to stand it? And if you got players who strained to avoid sounding biased, would their fans like it? What IS the appeal of using them??? Use co-commentators who aren't associated closely with either team and just, you know, say what you see. There's no reason for using these characters at all.

A bit of a role reversal, of late.

LFC's been involved in quite a few matches like last night's since Klopp's arrival.

Tonight was something more akin to a "normal" City match (with the obvious exception of the goals waiting til the second half).

Villarreal knew they weren't likely to win the tie tonight, but definitely could lose it, so didn't push to get a goal and were satisfied with going home down 0-2.

Nonetheless, that was an impressive performance from LFC from start to finish.

I'm sure Guardiola would have killed for something similar last night.

McManaman left the club because he saw out his contract without signing an extension so the club could get a transfer fee, which they didnt. He signed for Real Madrid on a free and obviously made a packet and had a good career there. If there was a transfer fee involved he wouldn't have ended up at Madrid and made a mint. He was a very good player but has always seemed a bit selfish like Owen was. They are both crap analysts/commentators but who isn't!

I doubt they were 'satisfied'. I hope they were.

Each to their own. I can't get behind calling decent ex-Reds "cunts"

I had Alan Smith on my stream and looking at the comments on here, he was no better

Great performance from the boys though, very professional. Bursts of high intensity which they just could not live with but it wasn't 99mph all the time so conserved energy which is crucial at the minute.

The more I was Diaz, the more I love him and Thiago is dreamy.

On to the Geordies who are in a rich vein of form based on results without treating into consideration who they have played.

Come on reds, let's make this a season not to ever forget.
