For the stat followers: Both of Benzema's goals tonight were scored on 46min 44 seconds but separated by half time.

Euro 2020 Round Up (Days 9-11)

Will probably change it to Coronavirus next season as he doesn't want to reminded of it. Like all the other 1st name wearing weirdos

    Euro 2020(21)

Llorente gives no option on the outside. He plays like a midfielder. Everything is so static. Made worse by both Moreno and Morata both playing. Azpi RB, Koke DM instead of Rodri, bring Thiago to mf and play some forwards that can move.

    Euro 2020(21)

Turkey were a disgrace. The 2 corners in a row that Bale brought the ball into the box in injury time summed them up. Well done Wales. An enjoyable game

    Euro 2020(21)

Joe Allen is still only 31. He wasn't good enough for us but he is surely a bit better than a Stoke team mid-table in the championship.

Shane Lowry's father Brendan is in there. Front row - 2nd left.

Missing one - The other Ian Wright son.

    Georginio Wijnaldum

We played totally differently. Coutinho mainly played outside the box so the 2 "8s" got in the box a lot more and Clyne and Milner were orthodox full backs.

    Georginio Wijnaldum

Sometimes twitter produces pure gold. Edit: Meant to post in another thread but who cares. I presume Gini won't mind

    Rangers/Stevie Gerrard 2020/21

In the 1982 World Cup Dalglish played and scored in the first game v New Zealand. He was dropped for the 2nd game v Brazil and was introduced with 25 minutes left 3-1 down. He was left on the bench for the 90 minutes v USSR in the final game in the group with Scotland needing a win. They drew 2-2 and were eliminated on goal difference. The following season Dalglish won PFA Player Of The Year, Football Writers Player Of The Year and runner-up to Michel Platini for the Ballon D'Or. The King also had his issues with Scotland Edit: Just realised I replied to a post from December. Fuck me, I'm slow

It negates the ball under the wall and it allows the wall to jump so the free kick would need to be 6 and a half feet at least when going over it. It makes sense but looks shit

    Worst "top" player ever?

    And Five Bellies

    Worst "top" player ever?

I've heard Ferguson say this a few times. I think its crap to be honest and massively overestimates Ferguson's powers. Hd tried to buy him when he went to Spurs in 1988. Around this time Ferguson couldn't control Whiteside, Moran or Robson, who all seemed fairly grounded lads but he would have sorted Paul Gascoigne? 8 years later when he had a lot more gravitas and experience, he couldn't get Lee Sharpe to be a professional or rehab properly from his knee injury. Gazza wasn't just a bit of a tearaway, he was/is unwell. Paul McGrath is the nearest personality to Gascoigne that Ferguson managed and in 1989, he tried to force him to retire so that he could not only get him out the door, but so that he would also be unavailable to other clubs. I call utter bullshit

    Worst "top" player ever?

Definitely. They had good players all over the place. Scholes was one of those but in my opinion he was the 4th best midfielder of that era for Man United

    Worst "top" player ever?

Scholes was behind Butt in the pecking order at Utd until Keane did his cruciate in 97/98. He was 23 years old. Even in their treble year Butt played as much as Scholes. At almost 25, Nicky Butt was deemed by Ferguson to be as good as Scholes, Nicky Butt. In 2001 Veron was bought to add something different to United's midfield and Scholes was moved to the left. He was 27. From the age of 31 (in 2006) to his 2nd retirement in 2013, he averaged 22 league games and 2.5 goals a season. Therefore, it must have been between 2001 and 2006, when Scholes won his CM position back that he was one of the best players in the world. During this 6 years, United won one league and one cup, Scholes scored more than 10 goals in a season once and they won nothing in Europe, reaching the semi-final once, in 2002. He was a good player but was on the PFA POTY team twice and during his period of donation of the English game, he was pipped for the award by: Stone, Lee, Batty, Butt, Petit, Dyer, Wright-Phillips, Cole, Valencia, Milner, Fletcher, Nasri, Wilshere, Parker, Fabregas, Young. Gerrard, Lampard, Beckham, Giggs, Keane, Vieira, Pires, Ronaldo were all picked more times than him during this period. A myth.

Sell Tsimikas, still have cover for both full back positions and £10m in the kitty for other positions. Edwards.

I think Grealish is excellent and great to watch but his work off the ball will take a bit of work from Guardiola too I'd say

    Summer 2021 transfer thread.

Kane strolls around the place when the opposition have the ball. He can give an assist and score a goal with the best of them but he doesn't pass and move. He is the most un-Pep like forward they could go after. Reminds me of the Ibrahimovic purchase when he was at Barca.

    Greatest 90s Film - Nominations

Life is Beautiful Glengarry GlenRoss True Romance Good Will Hunting Goodfellas Fight Club The Big Lebowski Shawshank Redemption Pulp Fiction Scent of a Woman Another 10 could easily get in. What a decade of film. These and many more posted, weren't films that you just walked out of the cinema saying you enjoyed the watch. They were mind-blowing, thought-provoking, superbly acted, pieces of art.
  21. Didn't know it was a true story.
  22. I don't think Rice is that great but he massively improves one of their weakest areas. He is a mile better than either McTominay or Fred.
  23. And Grant was a Terry slip away from doing it in 2008
