If the unthinkable happened and Rodgers was sacked.....

Lets get rid of Rodgers he clearly isn't tactically up to it, forget about his past success here.

What about their manager? I know he's fucked up numerous times in england but the fact he got the result he needed in this one game must mean hes better then Rodgers.

Our shit players failing to complete simple passes tonight cost us the game, Rodgers could have tinkered with things but with the level of performance we got it wouldn't have made a difference.

What success?

We got rid of Rafa after a Champions League and an FA cup.

He took lfc from outside europe to the closest we have come to winning a title in the premier league while playing some of the best football we have seen.

Those criticising him tactically don't mention the games where he had our team battering our rivals home and away last season.

And taken us back to mediocrity again.

Everyone on this forum last season predicted we would get routed in Europe, but that was against the likes of Bayern and Real, not Basel and Ludogorets. The Premier League really is dogshit.

Basel beat a much more expensively assembled Chelsea team last season, the so called best manager in the world Jose got tactically outdone.

They are not a shit team, good point though that most fans were saying we wouldn't be good in Europe last season, you wouldn't think that now reading comments.

It's not the Premier League that's dogshit. It's our myopic and bizarre transfer disconnect between reality and what we buy. When every man and his goldfish can see we need to strengthen the midfield, why the fuck don't we do it? C'mon, old pros not wanting to move on is hardly a new situation, there's text books written on the subject. Then not replacing your main component when one is sold and the other is prone to breaking down just smacks of mismanagement.

If anything we should be grateful the Prem is shit, that's the only reason we're not currently in one of the relegation spots. Yet.

Rodgers had a moment, and it seems he either lacked the vision to buy the right players, had the wrong players bought for him, or took his eye off the prize and gambled, and made a chronic error, that Vibes would stay fit. Maybe a bit of all of those. Point is, he blew it. Just like the Turnbull AC's in the Warriors.

for him to get fired it means that FSG would need to dig deep into their pockets and (a) pay him a good fuck off package and ( b ) identify, convince and recruit another manager in a multi-mullion contract and with the promise of new signings.

How possible is that to happen? Not at all imo. You are wasting your time, Rodgers will see off at least another season. At the end of 2016, there might be a review.

Devastating counterattacking from one of the best player single seasons the league has ever seen

If it was all down to Suarez what's barcas excuse seeing as they have neymar and messi playing with him.

It wasn't all counterattacking but I wouldn't have cared if it was, the arsenal team Everyone raved about years ago was based on counterattacking.
