Summer 2013 Transfer Thread

£50m to anyone outside the Premier League and £65m to a Premier League team? You're living in a dream world!

Suarez, in my opinion, wants Champions League football. Whilst a transfer to another Premier League teams seems far less likely than a move to, say, Spain, I wouldn't rule it out. Stranger things have happened in football. If Suarez really is intent on trying something new, I think he will get his wish. The club won't want an unhappy player. The bottom line is - top players want to be playing Champions League football.

Dream world? Yep.

Would be nice for someone else to get shafted in a deal for a change.

Can see Suarez getting booed by some fans if he keeps up the verbal to the press. Maybe thats what he wants, a conveinent excuse to go.

Or maybe if he plays well enough, like the Pepe of old, we wont have to sell him at all.

Na mate.

He wants to go home.

He wants at least one winners medal before he hangs them up.

Imagine keeping goal whilst Neymar and Messi are tearing the opposition a new arse hole. For every goal they/he lets in them two and the rest will stroke in 3-4. Or he can slog his guts out for not much return with a fledgling team over here.

Choices choices.

I'm not so sure if that's entirely true mate.

I see no reason why he can't add to the two winners medals he's already got by staying here either.

jeremy toulalan

Lets see if this name can make the person i want to crawl out from under the woodwork. A person who is generally quiet on forums?

A person who should stay fucking quiet if this is the kind of player he thinks is good

:)

Wow! So in your "opinion", Toulalan, who has played for the most successful French club in recent history, is a mainstay in a decent French squad, was courted and purchased by a then mega rich Malaga team for 10mil Euros to provide steel and composure in midfield 7which he did), is shit.

The reason I don't post much is because unlike you, my opinions are valid. I make my point and leave. You constantly spout the same shit constantly and end up looking like as penis 3 weeks removed from an already rotting corpse.

Do the world a favor and go play in some traffic now, you fucking attention whore.

So who do we go for now the Armenian lad is bound for Germany?

I do hope we'll see a player signed who'll almost definitely improve the first team. If it wasn't all smoke & mirrors or media bullshit, then we should have around 20 million to go for a high quality player.

After all we've spent nothing net this window so far. We've done well to improve the squad imo, but need to add real quality.

Also, next best options now that the Mkhitaryan deal is dead?

Ilicic, Rakitic and Grenier are the names that spring immediately to mind, although the latter's goalscoring record is maybe not quite good enough. All very good players though.

Has something broken about that now too? No surprise if they do' date=' just a surprise they're doing it this early. Wait for the 25m bid and some shite 28 year old youth player.[/quote']

The Times are saying that they have pulled out of negotiations for Cavani and will focus on making Suarez their Marquee signing.

It's a newspaper, i'm not saying it will happen but any stories like this are not a great sign.

At least if they want him as the marquee signing we might get a good fee. I always think Madrid like to make statements with their main signing more than get their man. If bale was to be the marquee signing, I would expect them to low ball us for Suarez. In all honestly, the quicker the Suarez thing plays out the better as far as I'm concerned. I won't be upset if they do make a move now, I always expected them to make one. Sooner the better and hopefully allow us to put it straight.

I agree with that. Would obviously rather he stayed but it's not gonna happen so get it over and done with now and let us rebuild.

When he goes, we should have around £70M to spend.
